their frequency manager. Hi! Lots of QRM in Europe and S. Asia. Will tell them (Victor 4S7VK, ibid. via dxld) I have been catching this for last couple of months. The very affable Hindi YL announcer keeps calling for reception reports. Mentions that the station's engineers would welcome them. Once they even announced propagation condition and mentioned that adjustments are still going on. I am liking the format where they play old classics both Hindi and English alternatively in the same programme. Hoping to make it one of my regular listening in the days to come. Reception presently is average in my location. Cheers. Open carrier 0852-0856 UT, then off and back just before program start of Stimme Russlands. A background buzz similar to 7440 kHz indicates that this may well be Lviv as well. Fair to good signal, low modulation level. When Lviv was first used for high power transmission of the R Moscow midday German service in the 1970's they were on 31 mb frequencies around 9745 kHz. Propagationally probably a better choice. [later] Additional observation. 11655 kHz went off at 1000 UT, and then I kept an ear on 7440 kHz. At 1007 UT a carrier appeared and then went on and off a few times before going silent. Again the background buzz points to Lviv. Same signal level as on 11655 kHz.
