JAPAN 5910, 1404-, Shiokaze Sea Breeze Jul 9 Excellent reception, but
seems to be jammed by a grinding sound. News about the investigation of
the sinking of the South Korean warship last month. Grinding jammer (if
that's what it is) remained on the air past 1430 UT.

KAZAKHSTAN 9950 1432-, Golos Pravoslavya July 6. I can just make out
this twice weekly religious program through a huge ute smack on the
channel. Otherwise, I suspect the signal would be just fine. LSB seems to
only way to hear anything.
9950, 1439-, Voice of Orthodoxy July 9. No sign of them today. Scheduled
Tuesday/Fridays.

This is most likely the Maralal station in the Rift Valley region, which
I have listed on 1107 and 1386 kHz, 100 kW,
at approximate coordinates 01 05 N 36 42 E.

some 23 kilometers south of Maralal, 245 kilometers north of Nairobi.
KEN Maralal 1359 kHz 5 kW according WRTH 1990
...and 1197 and 1386 kHz according Colin Miller ... 100 kW, WRTH 2004.
