(wb, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews April 23/25) May be off topic, but I realise there are photos of the woodpecker OTHR system which interfered with broadcasters in 1987. Listening to a report that Bob Horvitz made on a Media Network show in February 1987. I think we 'might' have covered some Russian OHR material on this website previously or maybe in Wolfgang's bc-dx column. Anyway it is interesting material. Happy to see it here. I never fail to be in awe at the massive engineering construction of such antennas. I'm sure there's some fascinating stories associated with these stations / installations. Is their a public link to your Media Network show ref Feb 1987 with Bob Horvitz? I'm sure I didn't hear this one. Best regards (Ian, SW TX site Apr 26) RUSSIA/MOLDOVA Three different prgrs of Home Sces in Russian were at 1925 UT: 1. on 7200 2. on 6160 and 7220 (Radio Rossii) 3. on 7310 // MW 1413{via Maiac Grigoriopol Moldova} (Voice of Russia) On 4050 kHz at 2356 UT played the National Anthem of Russia (melody is the same as of the exUSSR anthem) and at 1800 UT was // 7220 with Radio Rossii prgr.
