Homage to John Bryant.
JOHN H. BRYANT
The worldwide DX fraternity was very shocked to learn of John's untimely
death on 9 February. Emeritus Professor John H. Bryant served as a Senior
Fulbright Research Fellow in Japan in the mid-1970s and was an
internationally recognised authority on East Asian Architecture. John's
contributions to the profession of architecture were recognized when he
was elevated to the status of Fellow of the American Institute of
Architects in May 1997.
Following his retirement in 2000, John built a retirement retreat in the
San Juan Islands on the US West Coast, from where he was able to indulge
his interest in broadcast and tropical band DX from Asia. He undertook
