(wb, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews Feb 17) MYANMAR 7185.70 Myanma Radio, at 1444-1530* UT on Feb 13, ex 5915; in vernacular with EZL indigenous songs; almost fair; 1528 UT sign off announcement with frequencies; followed by indigenous instrumental music till off the air. Not // 5985 kHz; Myanmar not heard on 5915 kHz or 9730.8v kHz. Even though this frequency will cause new QRM for hams, it is infinitely better than former 5915 kHz, which had strong CRI QRM. More people should now be able to hear and enjoy this station here! Seeing as the frequency is off set, perhaps it is via Yangon and not Naypyidaw site. (Ron Howard-CA-USA, dxld Feb 13) 7185.783 on Feb 18, at +1425-1525+ UT, R. Myanmar, Yangoon, poor/fair, a lot of Burmese pop mx interchanging with spoken fragments in local dialect (YL). Fortunately no BCers, no HAMs in this part of the band. Just occasionally wandering HAM's carriers. NB. At the same time there was no sign of BRM on 4725.5985 kHz ... (Vlad Titarev-UKR, Perseus + K9AY ant, DXplorer Feb 18) On the 13th of February Yangon decided to use 7185.75 instead of 7200 kHz and has been observed with the following schedule since: 0030-0230, 1120-1530 UT. At 0745 UT observed both 9730.85 and 7185.75 kHz carrying two different programmes, also same time 5770 and 5915 kHz. 5985 kHz was silent, which s-on at 0930 UT and its agudio was heard under 9730.85 kHz ! Anyway, this proves that Myanmar has at least four SW transmitters and a 5th at the Defense Forces [in northeastern Burma, wb.] (Victor Goonetilleke-CLN 4S7VK, UADX / IntruderAlert Feb 16/17) NEW ZEALAND B-09 schedule of Radio New Zealand Internat. from Febr 12 1200-1550 no DRM service 1300-1550 6170 RAN50+50kW 035/325 deg AM All Pacific 1551-1750 6170*RAN 035 kW 035 deg DRM NE Pac, Fiji, Samoa, Cook Isl 1551-1750 7440*RAN 100 kW 035 deg AM Cook Islands, Niue, Fiji, Samoa 1751-1850 9765 RAN 100 kW 035 deg AM NE Pac,Fiji, Samoa, Cook Isl 1751-1935 9890 RAN 035 kW 035 deg DRM Niue, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Cook Isls 1851-2050 11725 RAN50+50kW 035/325 deg AM All Pacific 1936-1950 11675 RAN25+25kW 035/325 deg DRM Tonga 1951-2150 11675*RAN25+25kW 035/325 deg DRM SolomonIsls,Niue,Fiji,Samoa 2051-2235 17675 RAN50+50kW 035/325 deg AM All Pacific 2151-2235 15720*RAN25+25kW 035/325 deg DRM Vanuatu, Fiji 2236-0458 15720 RAN50+50kW 035/325 deg AM All Pacific 2236-0458 17675 RAN25+25kW 035/325 deg DRM All Pacific 0459-0658 11725 RAN50+50kW 035/325 deg AM All Pacific 0459-0658 13730 RAN25+25kW 035/325 deg DRM All Pacific 0659-1058 9765 RAN50+50kW 035/325 deg AM All Pacific 0659-1158 9870 RAN25+25kW 035/325 deg DRM All Pacific file:///Z|/DOKUMENTATION-BULLETINS/WWDXD-BCDX/2010/BCDX952.TXT[11.06.2012 10:39:52]
