every broadcast, which I heard concluding again Nov 26 at 1556 UT on 11680
kHz, with the last three entries 11875, 15230 and 17705 kHz, only the last
of which is still in use.
Altho I have not bothered to log and report them, I have in the last few
weeks run across RNV still on the schedule we have previously compiled so
here is the sked now believed to be complete and accurate, one hour each:
10 6140
11 6060 [partly English]
12 11705
15 11680 [except Sundays][partly English]
19 15290 [may also miss Sundays if Alo, Presidente is on?]
20 17705
22 11670
23 13680 15250 kHz [partly English]
(Glenn Hauser-OK-USA, dxld Nov 26)
ECUADOR 6050 HCJB Pichincha still exists, despite barrage from super
signal de RHC between 01 and 11 UT; see CUBA. Nov 26 at 1042 UT not even a
trace of HCJB can be heard under it, RHC off by 1101 UT about to move to
6095 kHz, so HCJB is audiblized: axually with R. Transmundial program, A
traves de la Biblia inviting toll-free calls in PR and US to
1-800-880-5339, or e-mail
Now the only problem is the lite het from Malaysia off-frequency to lo
side. HCJB gradually weakens as sunrise oncomes. At 1133 UT its own
programming, news from La Voz de los Andes, W&M alternating, temp 10
degrees, frequent timechex for 6:33, 6:34, etc.
4918.9 romantic music segues, Nov 26 at 0635 UT, poor signal vs noise
level and CODAR; on this frequency it has to be R. Quito, which
sporadically reactivates on SW, usually lasting only a few nights before
vanishing again. Go get 'em. At 0644 UT it was the OSOB on 60m except for
USA and Cuba (or OSAMOB - only South American on band). 0651 UT brief
Spanish announcement, but could not copy. If there was an ID at hourtop, I
dozed thru it, 0702 UT still music, but at 0709 UT "Radio Quito amplitud
modulada". Next check at 1036 UT, still a signal but unreadable on
4918.9 kHz.
(Glenn Hauser-OK-USA, dxld Nov 26)
ETHIOPIA 6030 Radio Oromiya, 0402-0422 Nov 22, Marti jammer just would
not shutdown tonight leaving this poking through the noise with talks in
listed Amharic language. Decent signal enabled it to be heard periodically
but awful overall.
(Rich D'Angelo/FCDX-PA-USA DXplorer Nov 21/23)
FRANCE 6165 From Dec 1, KBS Word Radio will be on 6165 kHz to Africa at
2100-2200 UT in French via Issoudun. 3955 kHz to Europe via Skelton
remains in // . Between Nov 25 and Nov 30, KBS World Radio will conduct
tests on 6165 kHz at 2100 UT.
(Jean-Michel Aubier-F, dxld Nov 20)
FRANCE Google Earth imagery. Some high resolution place and Street View
option on Google Earth, but better to handle in Google Maps.
Yesterday some more images put on Google access.
