COMPANY PROFILE 

NOWAR security equipment GmbH – Germany was established in 1992. The companies’ 

business maxim is the development, the production and the sales of security and other articles 

for military, police, justice and private security companies. The establisher of NOWAR company 

have experience for more than 30 years in this field of business. 

As a manufacturer and seller of security articles NOWAR started their business with Police 

and Military in the country of Germany. In the meantime NOWAR company has a lot of well 

satisfied customers in many countries abroad. A lot of people have great confidence in the 

high quality articles supplied by NOWAR and in their experience. 

Since 1999 NOWAR is an official supplier to UN Peacekeeping Missions. 

In 2001 NOWAR Company were awarded with a Systems Supplier Contract for Police 

Equipment for UNMIK in Kosovo and other UN Peacekeeping Missions (MIK/CO097/01 

POLICE EQUIPMENT). In 2002 we have got a new contract for Batteries (MIK/CO050/02). In 

2011 we were awarded with System Contract HQ PD/CO045/11 for the Supply and Delivery of 

Ammunition.

The main profile of the company is the production of goods, helping the wearing and 

keeping of handguns and defence equipment as well as body protection equipment. The 

forming of products is developed solely with the use of high quality raw material. During the 

designing special demands of customers are taken into consideration. A further business 

task is the development and the production of high quality body protection equipment. 

In 2011 we were awarded with a System Contract PD/CO045/11 for the supply of ammunition 

to all United Nations Field Missions. This contract is still valid.

One of our latest article which we have developed by ourselves for our German Police 

S.W.A.T. Teams and Special Army Forces is a 

FIRE COORDINATION SYSTEM 

With such kind of system you can coordinate special operations. The main point is to

Dear Sirs, 

the company NOWAR got for the MILIPOL 2016 in Doha the order to examine the equipment 

issued there of the ISF and to analyse. On this occasion, was found out by our analysts that the 

ISF are in some areas on a very high professional equipment state. This reveals itself 

particularly in the area EOD. Nevertheless, other areas are worty of improvment and should be 

urgently brought in close future on the newest state. Particularly the area of the weapons and 

the personal equipment is to be mentioned here. One clearly recognises in the area of the 

weapons that the last Upgrade has taken place approx. 25 years ago. Also with the personal 

equipment one has attached the red pencil and has saved at the wrong end. Especially 

importantly it is to be felt fine for the single policeman in his equipment to be able to deliver an 

optimum achievement in the event case. Moreover especially good boots or also a cellular 

application clothing friendly to body contribute. With the articles of clothing used from the 

policemen it concerned predominantly cheap China products. Boots without foot bed provide for 

indisposition and cloud the application morality. Here to save money is just to be equipped as a 

Porsche sports-car with tyres Made in China. The responsible buisnessman should have this

Tactical ladders 

Tactical ladders is a big concept one uses the ladders for many application scenarios. In 

particular if one does not come by tactical vehicles to the place of action. The tactical vehicles 

in Qatar are used are very good. But with the leaders there is something to verb eater. This 

leader on top has a very small application spectrum. She is suited only one small height 

distance with a man to overcome at the same time. The load of the steps amounts to only 150

Airplan assault ladders 

MULTI-LEVEL SECTIONAL COMBINATION LADDERS 

FDS manufacture a range of Combination type assault ladders for both vehicle based systems 

and standard ground use applications. The ladders consist of a multi-level base and sliding 

section, to which different length sections can be added to, to form a longer ladder. 

The base and sliding section are manufactured to a similar specification as the multi-level 

lightweight portable ladders, complete with standard high grip rungs, nylon slides and Velcro 

locking straps as standard. The additional sections are fitted with nylon separation channel 

connectors and locked with detent type pins. 

Combination ladders are supplied in both twin and triple stiles and are standard on C-RIS 

vehicle systems and are available as an option on PDE vehicle systems. 

A range of accessories are available for these types of ladders (see Ladder Accessories) 

including: Ladder Cushion Rests, Stand-off platforms, Foot platforms, Stabilizer Platforms (for 

vehicle use only). Rubber buffers are not fitted as standard to this range of ladders due to their 

short length.

WINDOW BREAKER LADDER 

FDS manufacture a range of Window Breaker Ladders, capable of multiple use and rapid entry 

through a closed window. 

The ladder section itself is based on a standard single section ladder with the addition of a 

reinforced steel top section. The steel section can be used to break the glass of the window, 

and to slide around the edge of the window frame to clear any remaining glass to prevent injury. 

If you already have a 0.460m single section ladder, this can be upgraded with the Window 

Breaker section without the need to purchase an entirely new ladder.

marine boarding ladder 

The Marine Boarding Ladder was developed for British Armed Forces to enable Royal Marines 

to board ships under way for cargo inspections. The equipment which is now used by Military, 

Police and Custom’s Officers for numerous maritime operations is constructed with a sealed 

aluminium upper section and a flexible shock resistant lower section to prevent damage to the 

RIB. 

The ladder top hook, is simply placed over handrails or the ships outer kickplates allowing the 

lower section stand off to touch the side of the vessel. FDS standard high grip rungs are used 

on both the upper and lower sections to provide a sure footing. 

The sealed upper section is fully buoyant even in fresh water allowing immediate recovery if 

accidentally lost overboard. The Marine ladder is fitted with two cushion rests and a lashing 

strap to secure the upper section to the vessel in rough seas. 

SIZES 

Our marine boarding ladders are currently available in two lengths, and can be specified with a 

lightweight flexible section. The standard ladders are 0.460m wide. 

We also offer ladders with larger hooks to cope with larger ship dowels/handrails. These are 

slightly narrower at 0.390m to compensate for the additional weight of the hook.

RIGID LADDER SYSTEM 

The Tactical Ladder is a rigid aluminum ladder with great strength and versatility. It consists of 

multiple rigid segments that are fast and easy to connect together with a quick release pin. The 

rigid connection points and pins can connect directly to rigid hooks for short ladders and 

preferably with fl exi elements for longer ladders. This forms the basic system confi guration. A 

rigid, fi xed ladder is in many cases a more efficient and effective solution than fl exible ladders. 

The Tactical ladder can be used from a boat or by divers for entering a ship. It is also well 

suited for entering buildings or ledges in urban environments. 


The Windup Pole is a telescopic pole with a manually operated winch and belt system to extend 

it. All parts of the Windup Pole are designed for both land and sea use, and withstand 

immersion in sea water. The telescoping tubes are made from high strength hybrid carbon fi ber 

composite. 

The top adapter of the pole is compatible with all grapnel hooks with the hulk and PIGG 

adapters. Similar to the manual telescopic poles, the windup pole is used for placing a hook 

with an attached ladder or rope onto a ledge or railing. The windup pole is extended while in 

vertical position for easy operation. 

The Windup Pole has an automatic brake which keeps the pole from collapsing unintentionally. 

It also features both wind-up and wind-down action which, in certain cases, is absolutely 

necessary in order to retract the pole. All belts and moving parts are contained inside the pole 

for a reliable system with few pinch points.

Wireless remote for ascender 

The wireless remote control is an optional accessory that can operate the APA-5 from a 

distance. The remote is designed to mimic the user interface of the main ascender, including 

fully proportional ascent and descent control in both fast and slow 

modes. The remote communicates with a wireless receiver module that is integrated with the 

ascender as an add-on item. 

The wireless remote control expands the capability of the ascender especially in “hands off 

scenarios” such hoisting into a helicopter, where it is necessary to have control of both the 

ascender and the incoming load at the same time. 

A wired confi guration of the remote control is also available and can be plugged directly into 

the ascender unit.

ope launcher 

The Compact Launcher is a high performance pneumatic launcher that has been designed for 

use in maritime and urban environments. 

The Compact Launcher grants high reliability, reach and versatility. Based on end user 

experience from the bigger REBS launcher and customer requests, the Compact Launcher with 

collapsible stock was designed. The system is very eff ective to use in many scenarios 

including diving, boat-based and land-based climbing operations. 

The Compact launcher is powered by pressured air and the 0.35 L bottle can be easily be re-fi 

lled from a normal 300 bar diving bottle. 

Lower pressure diving systems can also be used to charge the tank. Users can set the fi ring 

pressure on the fl y depending on the height needed. A Compact rope container can be 

mounted on the barrel and fi ts 115 ft of 8 mm rope, or 53 ft of rope ladder. Multiple shots 

can be fi red from a single bottle charge. 

The Compact Grapnel with spring-loaded folding arms will hook into any object such as wire, 

fences, railings, and structural and natural features. It can be used to deploy a climbing rope, fl 

exible ladder or a horizontal traverse line. 

It is easy to maintain and has a long and robust service life with proper post operations care. 

The Compact Launcher leverages the 12+ years of operational service and learnings from its 

“big brother”- the REBS Launcher. The Compact launcher is available in several kit 

options. A custom made transportation and storage box makes theCompact Launcher highly

Magnetic climbing system 

The MCS is an extremely powerful magnetic climbing system that easily supports the weight of 

one fully equipped operator. The system consists of a pair of lever-operated magnetic shoes 

and hand grips for climbing on ferromagnetic metal surfaces. The system works equally well for 

urban and maritime climbing of steel structures, and can be used from a submerged approach 

or from boat to boat. 

The MCS can provide access to places where hooks or launchers are not feasible, and can 

even be used by divers to board a ship from the sea. 

The system is delivered in a robust custom made transport case with all necessary

Breaching equipment 

Breaching equipment is one of the most important pieces of equipment with the intervention. If 

the door or the window cannot be opened fast enough, the surprise moment and the danger for 

the policeman dwindles rises. 

In Qatar we predominantly mechanical equipment used. This equipment is very good. 

Unfortunately, it bumps with more massive doors often to his borders. That's why hydraulics or 

explosive with different systems are used. 

With the use of the hydraulics exists basically no danger for the user and the culprit or 

unconcerned who are in the aim object. Hydraulics can be used because of his compactness 

and the pressure systems which can be carried on the back everywhere. In the explosive area 

there are precast explosive means holders for all opening solutions. The regular training in 

simulation doors and windows is important also. For this there is a huge number of solutions 

which are evident below. 

Also to open the possibility with the shotgun to doors or window is possible with ammunition 

performed below. 


Hydraulic system 

Developed in England as the ultimate high-tech door breaching device, the 'SAS Tool' is an 

electric/hydraulic jamb spreader and door opener. It exerts almost 7 tons of force automatically 

switching between spreading and breaking. Can be used on either lock side or hinge side, 

operating silently until lock breaks. 

The Broco® SAS Door Breacher exerts hydraulic pressure through the frame cylinder between 

opposing faces of a door jamb in order to provide necessary support and resistance for 

pressure applied through the door piston to force the door open. 

A hydraulic diverter valve within the tool automatically ensures the unit reaches correct 

pressure to hold it firmly before the door cylinder begins to pressurize. 

The SAS Breacher consists of a rechargeable 24v hydraulic power pack, ten foot hydraulic 

lines with no-spill quick connects and dual piston door opener. 

The SAS Breacher is for inward opening doors only. 


Thermal torch 

The Broco ® MINI-TAC tactical torch kit is used by the U.S. Army, the FBI and other special 

units including the London Fire Brigade and Australian Navy. It is the smallest, most portable 

exothermic torch kit on the market today. The MINI-TAC is used in situations when the operator 

must make a small number of strategic cuts to enable him to complete his objective. 

The Broco ® MINI-TAC is available with all-metal aluminum oxygen cylinders or filament wound 

aluminum composite cylinders. 

The aluminum cylinders (torch set model no. PC/MTMODAL) are certified for North America 

only (DOT & TC) and recommended for all U.S. law enforcement & military customers who do 

not have their own oxygen booster pump. These cylinders are 15 cubic foot capacity at 

2,000psi (135 BAR). 

The composite cylinders (torch set model no. PC/MTMOD1) are certified for North America and 

Europe (DOT, TC, EN). They have a capacity of 15 cubic feet at 3,000psi (200 BAR) and so 

should only be purchased by North American customers with access to an oxygen booster 

pump. Commercial welding gas suppliers will not fill these cylinders. The export version ( model 

no. PC/MTMOD2) has BS 341-3 valve and regulator connection & 230V input battery charger. 

The MINI-TAC contains two oxygen cylinders, submersible oxygen regulator, torch, oxygen 

hose, 2-pole striker plate with cover, battery assembly with charger, 18" rod extender, Molle 

carry pouch, leather shield, protective gloves, safety glasses, sample packets of 3/8" and 1/4" 

diameter cutting rods, collets to fit 3/16", 1/4" and 3/8" cutting rods, oxygen transfill hose 

assembly and a padded storage bag.

The Broco Rhino door puller is a one-man security screen door puller. Its large point penetrates 

screens to hook behind lock plates. The slide action breaks doors, locks and jambs.

Wall breacher 

The Gatecrasher is the original water-tamped wall breaching charge which has unrivalled

The Alford Strip is a high-efficiency tamped strip charge used to split wooden doors and 

windows, cut laminated glass and breach uPVC doors. It enables users to use, typically ¼ to ⅓ 

of the NEQ needed to breach using untamped charges. 

Made as a plastic extrusion, it is filled with a stiff water-based gel which gives enhanced 

tamping combined with ease of use and minimal fragmentation. 

It was designed to reduce the NEQ of strip charges to a bare minimum. Simplicity of use and

BTI Breaching Windows are designed to totally replicate an actual window breach down to 

the last shard of glass that must be raked for a clean entry. This window replicates a real 

window in which the molding would retain some of the glass even after it is broken. This 

requires that the trainee not only break the window glass, but also rake the window to get rid 

of all the remaining pieces of glass prior to entry.

RADAR tactical leg holster for Glock 17 Generation 4 with and without

Boots are one of the most important pieces of equipment of a policeman. He provides his 

whole service in the boots. Though China products are cheap, however, very much 

unkonfortabel. An oppressive shoe reduces the application time of a policeman. Vehicles are

Personal night vision 

The night view equipment of the Qatar ISF is very good, but is tactically absolutely 

inexpedient. It has two ocular entrances and an ocular exit. This leads to a different distance 

seeing. What means the user the seen takes by the glasses it was other than in reality is. It is 

especially negative while feeling of objects. Basically glasses to two exits and two entrances 

should have. Also a shooting with the glasses is nearly impossible, because the 

Microaimpoint on the weapon has a too small view passage. In addition, infrared lasers on 

the weapon are absent. That's why the available night view equipment would be suited only 

for observing and not to the night fight.

The LAM 3 series of three-channel laser aimers feature a visible laser aimer, an IR laser aimer and an

With a low power training mode and a high power in-field mode, both devices can be safely utilized

Weapon mounted night vision and thermal 

Unfortunately, the used night vision device which were mounted on the weapons do not 

correspond any more to the state of the technology. Here the devices are still mounted on the 

sight telescope. This can lead very easily to assembly problems. 

The Simradgerät takes up the rest light about the sight telescope and steers it design-partly 

around in the Eintrittspropille of the sight telescope. Here none is possible just for change of 

the view ray. It comes to inaccuracy and achievement losses. 

Today 99% of all marksmen to night vision device use which on the weapon, before the sight 

telescope geklippt will guarantee and therefore a just view, see below. 

As a rule marksmen are equipped with night view devices and thermal devices. 

Fail to night vision device if not enough rest light exists. Then here an Infrared laser would 

have to be used to give more rest light to the night vision device. However, this infrared laser 

is recognizable by the opponent if this also uses a night vision device. That's why thermal 

devices are also used. Thermal devices also offer the possibility to recognise by sandy 

storms hindurchzuschauen or with strong active aim. Also disguised people can be identified, 

because deliver this one warm signature. 


Thermal sight for assault and sniper rifles

The pump includes an under picatinny rail for the mounting of a forward grip, a light, or a laser. 

The included top picatinny sight rail will accept many types of optics or iron sights. Forward and 

rear sling loops are built in, and a basic sling is included. The soft rubber butt pad helps to tame 

recoil. 

The KSG receiver is made from hardened steel and includes the magazine tubes which have 

been welded in place. The grip and stock assembly is made of glass reinforced nylon (Zytel) 

and is easily disassembled by pushing out 2 pins, which store in 2 holes in the grip when 

removed. The barrel and pump assembly is removed by loosening the 2 front magazine tube 

nuts with a coin and sliding the assembly forward.

Full body horse protection is high impact protection for riot use. Giving your horse full protection in

The levels of protection we are able to give to horses are the same as for the frontline officers. 

The horse blanket gives excellent protection to the horse against thrown objects and hits in Riot control

NOWAR Riot Shield - Model MK-EHS/99 

Our protective shield, developed especially for armed forces and law enforcement units, ensures perfect 

protection from non ballistic attacks, such as hitting, stabbing, flying objects (e.g. brick, stone, wood or

NOWAR Baton - Model RMS (Rescue Multi-Purpose Baton) 

The Tonfa is one of the most important weapons of German Police and will be used for protection of 

Police officials during arresting criminals or as means to direct enforcement by patrolmen as also by 

officials of riot police. Additionally, it also performs other tasks, such as using as lever tool for opening of

NOWAR Tactical Baton - Tonfas (PARATONFA, MONADNOCK) 

Okinawanian farmers „discovered“ the Tonfa although it’s origin was in China. It arose from the cutted 

end of a scythe or crutch. However, there are also notes which source that it was a crunch of millstones 

which was reconstructed as weapon. The reason for the development of a Tonfa was the prohibition of 

wearing a sword if one was not member of a Samurai caste. In order to defend against the sword, 

different field utensils were reconstructed or used for purposes other than intended. Today Tonfa is 

known as baton or multi-purpose baton. These new forms have nothing to do with the original weapon 

and the traditional use.

NOWAR ® Transport Belt for Prisoners, Leather 

The NOWAR ® Transport Belt for Prisoners is used principally by jails for the marching off prisoners. In 

connection with conventional handcuffs with chains it is possible to fix the arms of the prisoner in front of 

his waist. Owing to this the prisoner has only a limited mobility and is not able to lash about. The 

Transport Belt for Prisoners is also available with a fixing for the arms in order that the mobility of the 

prisoner is limited anymore (see drawing of the article no. 0854002). 

The NOWAR ® Transport Belt for Prisoners is made of black leather with doubled inlay of steel wire. This 

steel wire inlay avoids the cutting through of the belt. The belt offers an individual adjustment of sizes. It

NOWAR Disposable Handcuffs 

Disposable handcuffs are manufactured of one piece. Easy explained it is a plastic tire with a grating 

and a head with an opening to adopt the stripe. In the head there is a raster element which catches in 

the grating of the band and so close the band. This is only possible in one direction. The opening is only 

possible with the help of a cutter respectively at Key-Cuff it is only possible with a key for handcuffs. 

Disposable handcuffs are manufactured of polyamid. Polyamid is a hygroscopic plastic. That means that 

the material is able to absorb and to deliver water. The mechanical characteristics are applicable 

swayed by the water content. So the right bearing is important. By a climate of 23°C and a relative 

humidity of 50% polyamid has the ideal repletion with water of approximately 2,5% achieved. 


NOWAR Velcro Handcuffs 

The handcuff made of velcro is of our own production. It consists of an 120 cm long and depending on

TUFF-TIE – Dispsable Hand- and Legcuffs 

Using TUFF-TIE is a simple process involving three steps. If these steps are always followed correctly, 

TUFF-TIE is virtually impossible to break free from (withstanding in excess of 500lbs of force)! 

1. Place one thumb inside the loop 

of the pig tail to hold it stable. 

3. Slide the block down until it is 

snug to the prisoner's wrists. After it

This is he old model of M16/AR15 it has a gaspipesystem. The gaspipe system is a system wich 

you have many stoppages after a few shots. Especially if in the weapon is not much oil or in 

desert conditions. 


Here you will find an explanation about both systems: 

The direct impingement has proven itself through the years on the AR-15 platform and 

replacement parts are inexpensive, easy to obtain, and generally made to a set “mil-spec” 

standard. Due to the hot gas from the fired cartridge being redirected into the action it will 

quickly heat up and become dirty requiring a cool down period before the bolt carrier can be 

removed from the rifle. 

The action of a piston rifle remains cool and clean, even after shooting 100 rounds in rapid 

succession. The bolt carrier can be removed immediately and held in your hand without burning 

yourself. The trade off for the action staying cool and clean is that you will experience snappier 

recoil when shooting which makes the piston rifle a little less accurate, especially for follow up 

shots. Finally, piston system parts are not interchangeable between manufacturers due to there 

being no set standard and the use of proprietary pistons and bolt carriers. 

There is a possibility to upgrade the old impingment systems to a modern piston rifle. 

The SIG516 10" upper allow operators to upgrade their current AR-15/M16/M4-type rifles from direct
