Management<br />

The HBSM logic controller Starts and Stops the GenSet when<br />

the deep cycle batteries reach the set (D.o.D.) value.<br />

To guarantee the expected life of the <strong>DC</strong>B, the system<br />

continuously monitors and controls the charging parameters<br />

“Current & Amps” as well as the Temperature of the <strong>DC</strong>B batteries.<br />

The HBSM logic controller also manages & controls the external<br />

energy sources (wind/solar/grid) that might be connected to<br />

the system. A web based management system with <strong>Ascot</strong>’s<br />

Software control, manages the whole system reporting all<br />

relevant information to a common platform.<br />

Main Functionalities<br />

- To efficiently Start and Stop the GenSet when the<br />

Deep Cycle Batteries reach the set DoD Value.<br />

- Reading the Battery low voltage set point for<br />

LLVD & LBVD*<br />

- Reading the charging “Current and Amps”<br />

- Reading the Deep Cycle Batteries internal<br />

temperature to manage the life of the batteries<br />

- To Start the GenSet through dry contract when the<br />

low voltage set point is reached<br />

- Programmable engine run-time<br />

- To reactive the LBVD* when the battery is charged<br />
