Grower feedback is key to success, and with so many partnerships,<br />

Enza Zaden has great opportunities to get new insights. We use that<br />

information as we continue to develop varieties that reflect the tastes<br />

consumers are looking for, and that enable growers to build and<br />

maintain a competitive edge.<br />

The Enza Zaden innovation pipeline is very exciting. With over 150<br />

varieties, we’re uniquely positioned to help growers leverage the rapid<br />

growth of the vegetable food sector. A few innovative examples include:<br />

• Select new varieties to our assortment from our Florida breeding<br />

program with excellent adaptability to the Southeast region including<br />

bell pepper Mingun (E20B.30108) and open field semi-determinate<br />

tomato Skyway 687.<br />

• Kazta, Divergent and Silarius (E25T.5198) round out the trio of new<br />

melon varieties that are together establishing the company’s position<br />

as a flavor and overall innovation partner in commercial melons.<br />

• Resistances that focus on Downy Mildew and Fusarium are essential<br />

to further increase efficiency and yield stability in the production<br />

produce to the entire chain.<br />

• The largest organic assortment in North America - through Vitalis<br />

Organic <strong>Seed</strong>, the organic division of Enza Zaden - enabling<br />

commercial organic growers and retailers to count on us for the<br />

quantity, quality and assortment of premium organic varieties<br />

required to develop successful organic operations.<br />
