We are constantly looking for ways to accelerate this growth. Please pray for us. Achievements by Administration Division a) The Division started the year by hiring a competent HR manager to support the restructuring process that was desperately needed at PAC University. With a new HR manager in place, the University successfully concluded a HR Audit which determined suitability of staff for the direction and focus the University had set for itself. Many services have been outsourced-- with a significant reduction on cost. b) A Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Planning) has been recruited and is hoped to join the team in May 2016, God willing. c) There has been significant strengthening of the Hospitality and Housing (H&H) department and the refurbishment of Hostels, guest houses and the compound. The H&H unit makes the university look great and is significantly making money for us. d) We established and equipped a gym & a Students’ Centre e) Part of the Old library was renovated and transformed to accommodate the huge Transformational Church Leadership (TCL) programme offices. We thank God. f) There has been increased visibility of the University through • the hoisting of signage along Valley Road and Thika Super Highway; • the updated website with links to University social media sites; • secured 6 free features with KASS and Standard newspapers; • live coverage of 2015 Graduation on KTN; • https://youtube/mcH3IPW8yW4; • Set up of marketing call centre to support followup of enquiries. Chaplaincy & Spiritual Temperature of the University Having a competent Chaplain has made a great difference. It has been possible to meaningfully encourage all workers to take their faith seriously and live out their faith in action. Although we have non-Christian students among us, the best way to be effective witnesses for Jesus, surely, must be CITAM Annual Report and Financial Statements | 2015
69 through our vibrant faith, the fire of the Holy Spirit in us, and seizing every opportunity to speak about our savior. CITAM & PAOC 2015 financial support As we worked hard to make sure our internal financing grew robustly, the University was greatly supported by the generous support of CITAM and PAOC. We were able to do much more because of this support beyond what was envisioned in the Business Plan. See below PAC University’s Communication Studio (completed because of CITAM’s financial support). Conclusion 2015 was a great year for PAC University. God was very faithful in working with us, helping us, teaching us and enabling us achieve targets set for the year. CITAM and other sponsors have faithfully and cheerfully given their financial support which has enabled the University move forward with strength. Staff in all the departments have worked in the most encouraging ways, with full commitment and positive attitudes. We are grateful to all who have helped PAC University experience a wonderful 2015. Thank you CITAM for your immense support to this ministry which seeks to make a lasting impact in our world through Christian higher education. CITAM Annual Report and Financial Statements | 2015
