CITAM MISSIONS & OUTREACH REPORT 63 We have several testimonies of answered prayers over job situations, physical healing, restored marriages, people who have found new meaning in serving God, the list is amazing. We truly have every reason to give glory to God. CITAM Timor Leste (East Timor) The missionaries in East Timor continue to spread the Gospel of Christ through a holistic approach. The church is registered with the Ministry of Justice in Timor Leste as partners in community development through education, public health and agriculture. Through these activities, God’s love is manifested and many have come to the knowledge of Christ and their lives are being transformed. Missionary Care We salute the missionary care office for ensuring every mission station is duly adopted by a CITAM assembly. We thank the intercessors across our assemblies who have since joined the prayer backbone for our missionaries. Church Planting Whereas we did not plant any church in 2015, we plan to plant three churches: Thika Town, Ongata Rongai and Embakasi/Utawala by the end of 2016. Plans for the same are gaining traction by the day. An elaborate church planting strategy for Kenya has been developed and will see us move into every County with the Republic of Kenya. Evangelism & Outreach The Missions and Outreach in conjunction with CITAM Athi River conducted a major crusade in Athi River town in May. We thank God for the 700 decisions made for Christ. We are revamping our heavens gates and hells flames drama outfit in readiness for a series of shows in 2016. Urban Missions The Urban Missions office in partnership with the assemblies sought to reach out to the de-churched, unchurched and pre-churched urban populace. In December hosted a musical show dubbed “12 days of Christmas,” at Prestige Mall. CITAM Woodley kids at the Prestige Mall for the adopt the mall initiative Sports Evangelism We also hosted a governance conference for the Kenya Rugby Union with a consequent direct impact in managing the sport. This sports evangelism initiative continues to bear fruit with the establishment of CITAM Kisumu Rugby team that is duly registered with the Rugby Union and is participating in the national fixtures. Way Forward We have trained our eyes on rolling out a fully functional Social Action arm of CITAM through the establishment of a peace and justice commission to engage on matters advocacy as well as a development and relief agency to augment our social transformation agenda. Conclusion I want to sincerely thank the dedicated team members that God has raised amongst us most of whom have left the comfort of the predictable life to serve God in very harsh and unpredictable terrain. To you all we say, your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Special thanks to my wife Margie for her invaluable support and the gift that she is to me.
