numerous health problems. This medical camp was
well received by the community. Another highlight is
the water baptism where 21 converts were baptized
after a thorough teaching on the same.
Archers Post
Tree farming in Olturot
is attributed to the insecurity which made people to
move to areas deemed secure and also the fact that
transformation of the adults who are deep rooted in
their culture has not been easy.
International Missions
Baptism in Lake Turkana
Our missions’ station at Archers Post became the
biblical “Cities of refuge” as affected communities
sought refuge from their enemies during the tribal
clashes that rocked the greater Isiolo County.
Other outreach programs included sports evangelism
for the junior & senior Morans. DVBS brought together
about 600 children from Archers Post and its vicinity.
32 children aged from 9-13 got an opportunity
to visit CITAM Karen during DVBS and went back
transformed. For the first time, the Samburu &
Turkana children participated in the Global Day of
prayer. Seven teens went through the CITAM HOPES
camp. These teens recorded improved performance
in the KCPE results with the first attaining 320marks
and the last 248 Marks.
It is worth noting that these programs and others not
mentioned led to the increase of church and mainly
the children and youth as follows ; the children
church (Hope Class), ages 4 to 8 grew from 80
to 150 children, (Faith Class), ages 9 to 13 years)
grew from 30 to 80 and the youths from 40 to 90.
However, the grown-ups in 2015 dropped from 80
to 45 people the majority being young mothers. This
CITAM USA
Last year began on a high note with the mobilization
of the church towards the official dedication of
Sunday services of CITAM USA. The colorful event
attended by a leadership delegation and members
from across CITAM took place on 5th of April. The
weekly attendance services average about 100
adults and, children with the volunteer base growing
in leaps and bounds.
CITAM Namibia
Pastor Paul and Ruth Njoroge were commissioned
at CITAM Thika Road as lead Missionary Pastor
in Namibia. We continue to trust God for relevant
immigration documents for the Pastor and his family.
The church in Namibia went through a transition
which saw Pst. Nyamu leave for wider ministry
and Pst. Njoroge assume leadership towards
the end of last year. We thank God that
CITAM Namibia is now fully registered.
Currently, there is one bible study
group that meets in the pastors’
house.
