CITAM CAMP KADOLTA REPORT
• Staff Retreat: The staff took a retreat in
December. It was a beautiful time of reflection
and strategizing. The staff was also able to visit
one of the leading hotels in the industry to see
operations of a high standard setting. The visit
motivated staff and more partnership is being
sought for an exchange programme.
Looking Forward
deployed to give our guests healthy meals in a
conducive environment.
Guests coming for overnight stay enjoy bush
dinners and bonfire at night. The bonfire is quite
an attraction to many, as guests sit under the
open skies reminiscing and narrating stories deep
into the night.
Our nyama choma is next to no other. Individuals
and groups have continued to enjoy the tantalizing
meat from Masaai goats. Guests are also treated
to boiled soup and ‘mutura’.
• The current grounds that are in use have
undergone some landscaping which has given
the facility a facelift. There is need to do more
landscaping on the expansive ground and this will
be done in phases.
There are some umbrellas placed strategically for
guests to enjoy their meals and relaxation.
We are looking forward to creating more awareness
among CITAM membership and churches within
Nairobi. This will be done immediately the facility has
developed the remaining infrastructure. We expect to
tap into the wide market within CITAM, other churches,
NGOS and Government bodies. The campsite will be
a great destination for honeymooners, conferencing,
group retreats, family get-aways and a serene place
for prayer and meditation.
The leadership and management of CITAM are
working towards increasing the capacity of the facility
i.e. guests rooms, dining, conference and kitchen.
We pray and hope this will be completed, dedicated
and launched before the end of this year, 2016.
There is need to partner with other hotels in the same
industry for experience, exposure and benchmarking.
We have already earmarked one leading hotel that
we can partner with.
We thank God for being good to us and seeing us
through this far. The journey has been tough but His
grace and providence has been overwhelming.
Our gratitude goes to the Bishop, Director for
Administration and the Deacon Board for their
encouragement and provision for all that we have
requested for.
Thanks to the Senior Pastors, Pastors, HoDs,
HoUs, Administrators, ministry leaders, members
of the congregation and non-CITAM people who
have believed in us and have constantly brought
us business
A big salute to the staff at the campsite who go
beyond the call of duty to ensure that our guests are
well taken care of.
… And to those who have not visited the campsite,
we say WELCOME.
