basis has grown from 25 to 30 families. During the
Annual Asian Christmas dinner held in December
2015, we had 450 Asians in attendance with Bishop
Dr. David Oginde as the keynote speaker. In total, we
had over 700 Asians who got to hear the gospel of
the Lord Jesus. To God be the glory.
Fellowship and Care
Among the married people, the Family Care and
Enrichment Ministry (FaCE) held a couple’s dinner that
attracted over 100 people. Young couples fellowship
also took place where young couples married 5 years
and below shared various successes and challenges
in their married life. We conducted two pre-marital
classes in the year. For the single parents, not much
was done to enhance the fellowship among them
which would address the realities and challenges of
single parenting.
Visitation and counselling ministry among the needy
people was experienced both in hospitals, burials and
in other areas. Those that went through challenges
and suffering were ministered to by the pastoral
team, leaders and workers in the two departments.
Christian Education
Safari, the Pathway to our Spiritual Growth and
Transformation was the highlight of the year.
Spirituality among the children, youth and the
adults went a notch higher. Discipleship was the
talk of the day across all the age groups. Small
groups grew from 25 to 40 within one year. The
new believers were discipled. Transformation
among the congregants was evident through
people’s devotion to God and character. Safari is
the way to go in CITAM!
Looking Ahead 2016
Our theme for 2016 is dubbed “Behold An Open
Door (Rev.3:8). As we focus on this theme, we are
trusting God for a mighty breakthrough in Asian
Outreach. As CITAM Parklands, we believe the door
for Asian outreach is wide open! We also believe
the door to disciple the children, youth and adults in
Parklands community is wide open!
Continually, as an assembly we are deeply indebted
to God and to CITAM family fraternity for the
superb sanctuary erected in Parklands community
through your giving. The Sanctuary has become
like an evangelistic tool to the Asian Community in
Parklands. Glory to God!
I would like to thank the Pastoral team, Staff,
Leadership, Ministry workers and the CITAM
Parklands congregation for their commitment and
sacrifice in ministry throughout the year.
Finally, special thanks to my dear wife Florence and
our two children for their continued prayers,
sacrifice and dedicated support in ministry.
