to the weekday bible study fellowships. A total of
over 150 people were baptized after the SAFARI
Enter stage. Of the 66 people, 43 were received
into membership.
Women’s Ministry
2015 started on a very high note in line with the year’s
theme “Connecting, soaring and flourishing”. We saw
a great improvement on attendance and participation
of ladies in various activities. Every month had unique
topics. On of a kind was in May where moms, dads
and young adults come together to share in challenges
of raising godly families in this 21st Century.
Women fellowships one with another, had
opportunity to participate in mission work among
other important ministry throughout the year 2015.
We give glory to God.
Men’s Ministry
The men at Kisumu started the year with great dreams
of positively impacting lives through monthly meetings
and special fellowships. The Movie by Myles Munroe
on Men and vision set the stage for men’s need to
lead the family and church with a vision. This first
meeting of the year was well attended with over 70
men praying, watching and reasoning together.
The men have formed accountability teams like
nyumba kumi initiative that facilitates accountability
amongst the members. The men also have Tea
Party fellowships where they visit homes where men
and spouses are not born again with the intention
of socializing and possibly evangelizing. Men carry
tea during such meetings. We strongly believe if men
will take their rightful place in the family, church, and
society we will be able to achieve a lot.
Missions and Outreach
The major activities of the Missions team were
as follows:
I. A-team of four Leaders from Missions visited
Turkana for 4 days Missions exposure trip.
II. By the grace of God we did a powerful revival
meeting in the church and a powerful crusade
in Manyatta that saw more than 100 souls
coming to the Lord.
III. We have ministered in different secondary
schools and universities around the city.
IV. County Government Prayer Breakfast - We
had a Leaders breakfast in April 24th for Top
leadership of Kisumu County with objective of
bringing them together to unblock the Ancient
Wells of development and sensitize them on
their God given responsibility in building a
better Kisumu. Over 150 leaders attended
the function led by Our Bishop Rev. Dr. David
Oginde and The Governor of Kisumu County,
H.E Jack Ranguma.
V. In May-August the Ministry organized for a 5
days revival meeting that was climaxed with a
healing service on Sunday. We have begun
an intentional outreach dubbed “operation
Rudisha sheep Nyumbani” targeting our
members who left the church for some
reasons known to them.
FaCE Ministry
The FaCE ministry has also had a busy calendar
Couples dinner that brought over 40 couples
together at Jumuia, Couples dinner that brought
100 couples .The guest Speaker was Rev Odhoch
from Deliverance church at Jumuia Guest House,
Mother’s day was very successful with the men
buying flowers for the ladies, We have dedicated
around 100 Children thus far this year. Number of
marriages and solemnizations have taken place in
the Assembly, To God be the glory.
Visitation and Care counseling
Every Thursday the visitation team visit homes,
hospitals and business places to encourage
members. The Counselling has held two
workshops that were very successful.
They have also had an outreach
to Awasi girls and other schools
around the city.
