Introduction
To God be the glory great things he has done! In
the year 2015 the church was guided by the theme
‘Reclaiming Our Wells’ which was derived from
Genesis 26:18. God was gracious and allowed us
to experience his favor in many ways and for that we
give thanks.
Discipleship & Worship
We received very good ministry of the word
throughout the year. The teaching of Safari
discipleship program, both Enter and Encounter
stages, for the whole congregation was highly
commended. The series on the Holy Spirit was
refreshing and a number of people spoke in tongues
for the first time. The CDs sales indicated how
well the message was received. The introduction
of Special Sunday Services for Praise, Worship
and Prayer was applauded. We have observed
growth in the numbers making it necessary for us
to extend our parking area in the adjacent piece
of land. The emphasis of prayer as a crucial part
for ministry has been widely accepted resulting
in notable increase of numbers in our midweek
prayer service and other prayer sessions during
the year. We praise God for the many people he
convicted and they gave their lives to Him while
others received healing and testified on the same.
Children’s Ministry
Many children were greatly impacted by the teaching of
encounter session of the Safari discipleship program.
We received testimonies from children who received
Jesus as Lord and savior. Prior to starting the program,
a number of our members donated TV screen to
facilitate the teaching of the children. Another highlight
is our DVBS program that saw over 3300 children in
attendance. This was the highest number recorded
across CITAM. The children came from all walks of
life in our catchment area. The lively worship, the recital
of scripture and the testimonies we received about
children influencing their parents to come to church
made the effort worthwhile. Throughout the year over 60
young people were prepared for transition from Primary
to High school life through the HOPES program that
culminated in a camp which attracted children from other
churches. The ministry continued in the good tradition
of practically teaching children to be mindful of the less
fortunate as they visited and made personal donations
in various children’s home. We continued the Pastoral
Pupil Instruction (PPI) through which we ministered
to children weekly in our neighboring schools.
For our children the year ended on a high
note and their morale boosted when
they recorded a Christmas musical
that was broadcasted in the
national television KBC.
