Juliet Mahugu Senior Pastor Preamble 2015 has been an exciting year for CITAM Athi River-a year in which we consolidated the gains we made in 2014 and broadened our programs and activities to cater for the needs of our members. We ministered to an average of 800 people every Sunday, 450 adults, 300 children and 60 teenagers. When schools were closed, the number of teenagers increased to around 120. We received an average of 35 visitors per month, some of whom choose to stay on. In May the church was officially launched in a colourful occasion graced by our presiding Bishop, the deputy Bishop, a vast array of CITAM leaders, family and friends. 2015 was also a year of growth in our infrastructure: the Sunday school block and the Ablution block were completed and commissioned; work on the Administration block also started. We are eager to shift our offices from Sidai Village to the new block in February 2016. We celebrate our dedicated volunteers who average around 180. We are thankful to God for the following achievements: Children’s Ministry The average attendance has grown to 300 per Sunday. We hosted 590 children for DVBS, some came from two Children’s homes in our neighbourhood and one group came all the way from Machakos town. 97 children participated in the African Children Prayer Day where they prayed for families, the Church and the nations of Africa; 15 of them committed their lives to Christ. Children ages 10 and above successfully completed The Enter stage of The Safari discipleship program. 12 children attended the HOPES program which we organized in collaboration with CITAM Karen.
