Acknowledgment to Benny<br />
M<br />
y life has been so blessed as I have sat<br />
under the m<strong>in</strong>istry of my brother Benny<br />
H<strong>in</strong>n. I have learned lessons I could never be<br />
taught <strong>in</strong> a classroom. I am so grateful for those<br />
early years of serv<strong>in</strong>g him and the church. I<br />
remember plead<strong>in</strong>g with him and say<strong>in</strong>g, "Please<br />
let me preach; I really th<strong>in</strong>k I am ready." But<br />
God used him to speak many times to my heart.<br />
He would always say, "<strong>Sam</strong>, if I am the one to<br />
promote you, then God is not <strong>in</strong> it. You have to<br />
wait for God to make room for your gift, not me."<br />
This was a great lesson to learn. If man gives<br />
it to you, then man can take it away. If a church<br />
gives it to you, then that church can take it<br />
away. But when God gives it to you, no one can<br />
take it away.<br />
Today I have much to be grateful for. God<br />
gave me a wonderful example to follow. He has<br />
been my brother, my friend and my pastor. As a<br />
man he could never change me, but he loved me<br />
