A Package Deal<br />
When I met my wife and fell <strong>in</strong> love with her,<br />
I got to know her by her first name. I fell <strong>in</strong> love<br />
with Erika. She fell <strong>in</strong> love with <strong>Sam</strong>. She didn't<br />
get to know me as Mr. H<strong>in</strong>n, but by my first<br />
name. Then when we got married, she<br />
automatically got my last name and everyth<strong>in</strong>g<br />
that belonged to me.<br />
This is also true of our relationship with the<br />
Holy Spirit. When we fall <strong>in</strong> love with Him by<br />
<strong>His</strong> first name, Holy, we will then receive all the<br />
gifts that come with <strong>His</strong> last name, Spirit.<br />
God calls us to live a life of hol<strong>in</strong>ess and if we<br />
reject this we also reject the Holy Spirit.<br />
For God did not call us to uncleanness, but<br />
<strong>in</strong> hol<strong>in</strong>ess. Therefore he who rejects this does<br />
not reject man, but God, who has also given us<br />
<strong>His</strong> Holy Spirit (1 Thess. 4:7-8).<br />
Your call<strong>in</strong>g as a believer is to be a holy<br />
temple where God can dwell. God is holy and<br />
where he abides must also be holy (see Lev. 19:2<br />
and 1 Cor. 3:16- 17). The degree of hol<strong>in</strong>ess <strong>in</strong><br />
your life will be the degree of the presence of<br />
God. God's Word tells us we were chosen before<br />
the foundation of the world to be holy.<br />
Just as He chose us <strong>in</strong> Him before the<br />
foundation of the world, that we should be<br />
holy and without blame before Him <strong>in</strong> love<br />
(Eph. 1:4).<br />
Our greatest aspiration must be to live a holy<br />
