I like to share some tips to all those who are aspiring to
become a yoga teacher or basically looking to change
their lifestyle saying that there’s only one way to know
when the time is right for yoga teacher training and it
has nothing to do with your flexibility or if you know the
advanced asana. If you Google yoga teacher training
Sydey and pages upon pages of results will leave you
not only scrolling for hours but likely overwhelmed and
confused. It seems every next studio and experienced
teacher out there is offering a yoga teacher training now
with all the bells and whistles of EARLY BIRD PAYMENT
OR FULL PAYMENT DISCOUNT, ATTRACTIVE STYLES
NAMES, BLOWING THE TRUMPET OF ACCREDIATIONS
AND MANY MORE . In this blog I like to advice students
based on my personal experience when a student
apporches me with different questions .
Question I constantly hear from people who are curious about teacher training asking me, Samir do you feel i am
advanced enough, thinking that they are’t ready yet, that they need more knowledge or practice before committing
to a teacher training.
Well i would say you are getting it wrong at first step itself ….. That line of thinking makes me chuckle many time
since the whole point of a teacher training is to lear, she says. No one expects someone to be expert into training
already knowing exactly what they’re doing—that defeats the whole purpose a bit
The best way to know if you are ready for yoga teacher training 200hours or any additional hours is by asking
yourself following questions.
The only thing that truly matters as you prepare to take your first yoga teacher training is your ability to commit and
if you got the burning desire to learn this mystical science rather than thoughts to earn before even you know the
ABC of yoga. Yoga Training is intense and draining, but also wildly rewarding. My honest advice will be…. Do’t step
into a teacher training if you are at all wishy-washy. If you know deep down in your heart that you want to train your
mind and body— just do it. Do’t let surface reasons or insecurities sway you. If teacher training is something that
you’re casually tossing around, wait until you feel a strong desire in your soul. That’s the time to take the leap into
this wonderful science and not because you see your friends doing it or because yoga is the demand in arket
Hope this helps your decision.
