Reigate
Priory FC
Reigate Priory was
founded in 1870 and was
one of only 15 teams that
entered the first ever FA
Challenge Cup
competition in 1871. They
drew Royal Engineers in
the 1st round but withdrew
before playing; Royal
Engineers lost in the final.
Reigate Priory was also
present when the Surrey

County FA affiliated to the FA in 1882. They were
one of the original 10 teams present. Winners of the
inaugural County Senior Cup competition, Priory won
the cup six times before the end of the 20th century.
The club is one of the oldest football clubs in the
world still playing on its original ground. In 2008
Priory became founder members of the Surrey Elite
Intermediate League
