on his busiest day, he’d shot 24
separate events in one night.

Queen of The Ride
An Adult Party Bus Cruising Gay Manhattan
Nightspots With Live Street Performances
Brandon Voss, the “ultimate ‘Drag Race’ party planner,” has partnered with the
NYC theatrical bus tour The Ride for a brand-new adventure guaranteed to get
gay men moving: Queen of The Ride. In this interactive experience, revelers
hop aboard a luxury vehicle with floor-to-ceiling windows, stadium-style
seating, a state-of-the-art sound system, 40 plasma-screen monitors, 3,000
LED lights and a fully stocked bar and cruise the city’s hottest gay night spots,
including Pieces in Greenwich Village and Hardware Bar in Hell’s Kitchen.
While en route to each venue, attendees indulge in complimentary alcoholic
libations and are entertained by some of NYC’s finest and most outlandish
nightlife creatures. Drag stars Shequida, Lady Bunny and Tina Burner host the
different busses, each with their own unique brand of commentary. Queen of
The Ride cruises Manhattan every Saturday night, departing from Hardware bar
at 11 p.m.

about as revolutionary as you can get,” says Brandon Voss from
his New York office. “One night on the Queen
and guys will fall in love with gayest
city on earth all over again.”
The Ride first launched in
2006. With singing, dancing
and special effects, the

moving theater with thrilling
street performers and magical
surprises ‘round every turn.

Frank Carter
Rick: Frank, you’re so amazingly hot!
How do you do it? How long have
you been working out? And how did
you get into modeling?
Frank: Thank you! Gym is a passion for
me. With motivation, effort and time,
you learn what diets or what exercises
work for you. For example - cutting
carbs and sodium and about 2 hours
of gym, 6 time a weeks, is what works
best for me. I’ve been working out seriously
for 7 years, but have always been
active. It was a dream to have professional
photos, so I gave it a try and really
enjoyed it. I’ve been shooting for
fun since 2015. In the future, I hope to
be able to compete in a bodybuilding
contest, model more and dance.
Rick: We wish you lived in New York!
What’s it like living in Montreal?
Frank: I wish I had a house in a warmer
place like Miami, Rio or California. In
Canada it can feel like -30F on extreme
winter days. Montreal is only a 1 hour
flight or 6 hour drive to New York so
I’m there about 5 times a year. The
island of Montreal is a french-english
speaking multicultural city with lots of
festivals and good businesses. I don’t
feel I’ve lived there my whole life because
I love to travel; I’m often away.
Rick: Are you single? I know a lot of
guys who’d love to meet you. Any
chance you’ll be spending more time
in New York in the near future?
Frank: Now I’m hoping for that special
man to share our life together. I don’t
fall for someone easily, but I’m a good
guy with a big heart and I have lots of
love to give. People can follow me on
Instagram @frankcarter69 . I can be
shy in person but I’m easy going. I will
be in New York for Sunrise, an Alegria
event, New Year’s Eve and Pride in
June.
Rick: Not that I’m being a matchmaker,
but what are your interests outside
of working out and modeling?
Frank: I’m into true love that is based
on the actions of a man who cares, by
taking the time to always share affection.
I’m interested in bodybuilding,
sleeping, traveling, partying, pool,
beach, spa, boating, relaxing, watching
TV, shopping, and eating and xxx.

The Perfect Gift
PART TWO

were inseparable.
I missed my mommy. I
thought the sock monkey
might bring me a sense
of nostalgia.
decorated together,
I discovered a giant
sock monkey, a metallic
bow around his neck.
Q had gone out again,
searching by himself, and
found it for me.
It was the perfect gift—
not the sock monkey, but
a boyfriend who would
go to such lengths for
me.
We became boyfriends
pretty much instantly.
Maybe it’s crazy to
commit to monogamy
that early, but so what?
I was spending every
single night at his
apartment. The sex was
great. And—best of all—
when I was with him, I
didn’t think about The Ex
Fiancé.
The week before
Christmas, I saw a GIANT
sock monkey at Duane
Reade, but decided
not to get it because
it was $40. That night,
while with Q (surprise!),
I told him how much I
regretted not getting it.
I had a sock monkey
when I was an infant.
It had little pom-pom
“mittens,” and I chewed
one off, choking on it
and almost dying. My
babysitter had CPR
training and saved my
life—my mother told me
that story all the time.
My mother. This would
be the first Christmas
that I wouldn’t see
her—or my father, or
any of my family. I’d just
been through my first
Thanksgiving alone. I
was homesick. Dammit,
“Then we have to go get
it,” Q insisted, already
putting on his coat.
“Which Duane Reade did
you find it in?”
We went into the city
from his Williamsburg
apartment, on a mission.
To my dismay, it was
already sold.
“Don’t worry,” Q smiled.
“We’ll find him.”
We went to at least 10
Duane Reades that night,
from Soho to Chelsea
to Hell’s Kitchen and
back to Williamsburg. I
admitted defeat.
A week later, underneath
the Christmas tree we
purchased and
We got to New Year’s
Eve happy as could be,
and I got my New Year’s
kiss at midnight. No one
ever treated me as well
as Q did. No one ever
made me feel as secure
as Q did. We were happy.
I was happy.
Early February, while
shopping for black
leather boots at Beacon’s
Closet, my phone
buzzed in the pocket
of my skinny Michael
Kors jeans. It was The
Ex Fiancé. I hadn’t
spoken to him since
Thanksgiving. The text
said, simply, “Hey.”
I told Q I needed to
go home and focus on
writing, that I was behind
working on my novel. It
was the first night since
dating Q that I slept
alone. I spent the night
staring at my phone,
wondering what to do.
My cat, Maya, stared
uneasily at me from the
foot of my mattress.
Around 1 a.m., I picked
up my phone. “Hey,” I
wrote back.
And I waited.
