BIOBAF <strong>MBBR</strong> system allows higher biological treatment efficiency in smaller volume due to<br />
surface area of much amount biofilm carriers in it.<br />
Due to the special design of biofilm carriers, treatment system<br />
is prevented from deviation of environmental parameters like<br />
pH, temperature, toxic shock etc. This specification makes<br />
treatment system more stable against fluctuations in load.<br />
<strong>MBBR</strong> system is preferred rather than<br />
conventional biological treatment<br />
system because of smaller volume<br />
requirements in domestic and industrial<br />
wastewater treatment.<br />

The most important difference between <strong>MBBR</strong> system and conventional biological treatment<br />
process is that reactor volume depends on organic loads on the contrary hydraulic loads.<br />
Anoxic and anaerobic processes can be designed besides aerobic process with <strong>MBBR</strong> systems.<br />
Surface area and density of biofilm carriers is different in anaerobic systems than aerobic systems.<br />
BIOBAF <strong>MBBR</strong> system is manufactured at the capacity between 10m 3 /day and 1000m 3 /day as<br />
standard. It is also designed and manufactured up to 10.000m 3 /day, except standard.<br />
