Steinway by Starlight Concert<br />
The second such concert in the past year, Steinway by Starlight is<br />
a direct result of CSUDH being an All-Steinway School. Wishing<br />
to replace its aging inventory of practice and performance pianos<br />
and raise the profile of its music program, the CSUDH Department<br />
of Music purchased 21 Steinway instruments in 2014 and sought<br />
the prestigious designation by Steinway & Sons. As an All-Steinway<br />
School, CSUDH is able to invite world class Steinway Artists to<br />
campus to perform.<br />
Featuring world-renowned American pianist Sean Chen.<br />
The concert will also include a classical guitar performance by<br />
CSUDH student Tara Rose Davidson, joined by Department of Music<br />
faculty members.<br />

Contemporary Ballet and<br />
Modern Dance Concert<br />
Freshwater Dance Collective under the direction of Doris Ressl<br />
Acosta and Kenneth Walker Dance Project will present two<br />
performances of contemporary ballet and modern dance at<br />
University Theater on the campus of CSU, Dominguez Hills.<br />
KWDP will be performing in the cheeky Ease of Euphoria, the<br />
modern ballet Before the Verge, and a brand new work with<br />
musical soundscape by Candice Davis (programming subject to<br />
change). Come experience the power of live dance through the<br />
original vision and choreographic expression by the independent<br />
companies of our own CSUDH Dance/Theatre Faculty members.<br />
