SRI LANKA
Haven of Rest went to Sri Lanka.
We visited places like Jaffna, Killinochchi, Badulla and Trincomalee.
We went through several towns like Vavuniya, Anuradhapura,
Colombo and many more.
Haven of Rest donated sewing machines, bags of clothes, shoes,
toys, books, clothes dryers, school shoes and much more than these.

Buying shoes for the children

We bought new school shoes for the children.
"Some of the children did not even have shoes, and others had shoes that
were badly ripped and totally beyond repair"

Haven of Rest team in Sri Lanka

A mother of four from the neighbourhood
received one of the sewing
machines donated by HoR in
Badulla. This lady had longed for a
sewing machine to enable her to
improve the family's income and
lifestyle.
She and some of the girls from the
Badulla Orphanage benefited from a
tutorial in sewing and dressmaking.

The house that we dedicated in Sri Lanka , donated to Rathika and her family.
Help Haven of Rest give the
Badulla boys a fitforpurpose
bathroom.
This is the current "open
air bathroom" which is
absolutely not dignifying

ENGLAND
HoR does numerous works here in the UK.
This year, We donated money to cater for emergency funding for the young
carers in Basildon, Essex. These are young people aged between 3-18 years.
These young people care for their sick or terminally ill relatives.
In collaboration with the local Rotary club, HoR are proposing a donation to an
Essex based community kitchen. This is a project that caters for people aged
55 and over by provision of freshly made hot meals, relevant health and safety
information etc.
