ABOUT ME
I believe true innovation is only possibe through a multidisciplinary
design approach where architects, clients and builders work collectively
to create better living environments.
My practice of architecture goes hand in hand with this approach
which keep constantly a window open for creative ideas throughout
the entire lifecycle of the project.
My journey stretches from Belgium to South-East Asia where I worked
with various professionals sharing the same passion in developping
innovative designs and bringing them to reality.

Tenants coordination for a shopping mall.
Médiacité is a multifunctional
complex
designed by Ron Arad. It
combines retail, entertainment,
sportive and media
activities. Médiacité’s
shopping center has officially
opened since 2009
and gathers over 120 retail
spaces. Like any projects
of this scale, tenants coordination
is a critical point
for ensuring good levels of
occupancy and efficiency
in the movements of commercial
activities . The ultimate
goal of this service is
to maintain a balance between
the client’s interests,
the tenants business objectives
and the scheduled
tasks of contractors .

JARDINS DE LA SOURCE
EUROTECHNO 2013-2014
Construction of five luxury apartment buildings.
This project called “Les Jardins de la
Source” is a luxury residence located in
the heart of Louvain-la-neuve. It consists of
five innovative buildings designed in compliance
with the latest environmental requirements.
Each building is equiped with a dualflow
ventilation system with heat recovery.
The insulation factor largely exceeds the
standards. The construction period is divided
into two stages. Within the first stage, buildings
C, D, E were constructed. Within the second
stage, buildings A and B will be constructed.

PERSONAL WORK 2013
Interior design for a1950s terraced house.
mid-twentieth century terraced house
A converted into a bright open space
through spatial solutions and housing options
dictated by an accurate reflection on
contemporary living and natural light. The
original tile has been conserved as a small
perimeter for the dining space. The hall and
the stair case are now opened to the living
room the to bring a maximum of natural
light all over the space. A small bar has been
designed to create a transitional space between
living rooms and the kitchen area.

ZEST CREATIVE 2015
Design development for a restaurant in an existing house.
Vietnam has a strong history and heritage
mixed with Chinese tradition and
French colony... These cultural influences,
associated with a vietnamese culture already
very rich, forged over time a country‘s
identity quite special and a gastronomy
which is often said as full of flavor and cu-

linary treasures. The restaurant has then been
called “Aux Trésors Du Vietnam” in reference
to this gastronomic diversity. The design development
take place in an existing typical
terraced house in Belgium. Loose furniture
and built-in furniture has been specially designed
for the restaurant..

ATELIER CHORA 2008-2011
Construction of an energy efficient public building.
The building was designed to
outperform the latest energy
standards in force. It works as a
large and bright open-space
with generous openings to allowing
natural light to reach
every space and maximize solar
gains. The distribution of functions
is made through three
levels. The ground floor is dedicated
to the public. Offices and
administrative spaces are on the
second. The third floor regroups
collective spaces such as meeting
rooms and dining room. Materials
: corten-steel panels, dark
clay bricks and zinc roofing.

LOW ENERGY HOUSE
ATELIER CHORA 2011-2012
Construction of an energy efficient house.
The project is located on a
hillside. The living spaces
face the sunpath from noon to
sunset highly increasing solar
light exposure and passive heat
gains. To the North, a secondary
volume protects the heated
spaces and gathers together all
the technical functions. Bedrooms
are located at the ground
level taking advantage on the
heat-storing capability of the soil
minimizing significant temperature
variations. Materials: brick,
larch siding and zinc roofing.

INFORMATION CENTER
ATELIER CHORA 2010-2012
Sustainable pavilion for the University of Liège.
Laureate project of a competition
organized by the University
of Liège for the development of its
campus. The project was chosen in
particular for its green features. The
purpose is to create an information
pavilion accessible and viewable
by all as a strong signal to symbolize
the upcoming sustainable development
of the campus facilites.
It was designed in accordance with
the energy efficiency standards in
force in Belgium. The latest technologies
available on the market
have been integrated such as heat
pump with heat recovery ventilation
system. Materials were chosen
to be recyclable and with a maximum
lifespan in particular: terracotta
façade panels, vertical terracotta
cladding and copper roofing.

ATELIER CHORA 2009
Design development for sustainable accomodation.
he project is located in Ernondheid,
one of the smallest villages
T
in Belgium. It provides accommodation
for about 30 persons and an indoor
swimming pool. The project aims to
develop sustainable tourism in a rural
area with low economic activity. The
design is guided by the natural quality
of the site and the bioclimatic principles
: optimal orientation, maximum passive
solar gains, natural ventilation, natural
light and use of local materials.

PASSIVE HOUSE
ATELIER CHORA 2010-2011
Construction of a zero energy house.
The client wished for a house
able to reach zero energy
consumption. The result is a
building designed as a compact
concrete volume highly insulated
with large openings to
the South. The concrete base
slab is thermally protected by
expanded high-density glass
aggregates. The air sealing has
been mesured via a blower
door test is under 0.6 ach (air
change per hour) for an optimal
air movement control. A heat
pump extracts calories at low
temperature from the ground
and releases them through fan
coil units providing the required
indoor climate. The roof supplies
solar energy for domestic hot
water. Rainwater is collected for
cleaning and toilets uses.

ZEST CREATIVE 2015
Design development for a high-end resort.
esign development for X2 Vibe Phuket
D Bangtao featuring 84 freehold condominium
units, ranging from studios, one and
two-bedroom units in 11 different configurations.
The facade concept is an elegant
gray-white ribbon acting as a “light dress”
along the edges of the building. It stands out
on a dark and slightly rough textured concrete
recalling ocean stones, Every unit is
completed to the highest specifications with
high ceilings and spacious balconies, perfect
for breakfast and timeless relaxation.
Each residence is fully furnished with custommade
furniture.
