Well, after a defeat you have to look for positives to take into<br />
the next game. Seven straight defeats tells its own story but<br />
we’re not looking for excuses. Ten positional changes, eight<br />
different personnel from last week, yet another back four<br />
and we are playing a side that are pretty established and have<br />
the same team nearly every week. So we have to look for any<br />
positives. Firstly, the lads that came in did a job and put a<br />
shift in, especially first half, and, apart from one killer pass,<br />
should have gone in level at<br />
half-time.<br />
This week we started slowly<br />
giving far too much time<br />
to our opposition and to be<br />
honest we looked disjointed<br />
and off the pace, resembling<br />
a side that had hardly trained<br />
together. Fact was they<br />
hadn’t.<br />
We went behind after 15<br />
minutes and you feared a<br />
long afternoon. No dugouts,<br />
a terrible surface and nothing<br />
felt good about the day.<br />
However, here’s a positive:<br />
for the next 28 minutes the<br />
lads rolled their sleeves up,<br />
upped the tempo and moved<br />
the ball quickly. We looked<br />
like we actually wanted it and<br />

We were awarded a penalty<br />
after 30 minutes following<br />
sustained pressure and<br />
Tom dispatched it for a<br />
well deserved equaliser. We<br />
were actually on top and<br />
went for it. However, on 44<br />
minutes all our hard work<br />
was wasted. We got so carried<br />
away attacking, that one pass<br />
split our defence and the<br />

Cubo lead. HT 2-1 and again we have conceded in the 44th<br />

We started the second half slow and looked tired, then went<br />
further behind when some quick play opened us up and<br />
we didn’t react or close down quick enough and the lad<br />
dispatched it into the bottom<br />
corner.<br />
We did press in spells to get<br />
ourselves back into the game<br />
but our lack of fitness always<br />

Both Matt and Gavin missed<br />
great opportunities to get us<br />
back in the game. The final<br />
goal killed us late on but it’s a<br />
similar story to recent weeks.<br />
When we do create chances<br />
at key moments we don’t take<br />
them and we always look like<br />
we will concede goals.<br />
Having a completely different<br />
team every week really<br />
doesn’t help, along with the<br />
amount of weekly changes<br />
and players not training.<br />
We really could go on but<br />
like I said there are positives<br />
