Project Outcomes<br />

The project has been fruitful <strong>in</strong> reduc<strong>in</strong>g excessive speed of the vehicle to moderate <strong>on</strong>e <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

hence improv<strong>in</strong>g overall crash situati<strong>on</strong>. The follow<strong>in</strong>g secti<strong>on</strong> will highlight the achievements of<br />

the project <strong>in</strong> brief.<br />

6.1 Travel speed<br />

Dur<strong>in</strong>g basel<strong>in</strong>e survey <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> previous crash pattern analysis, it has been proved that <strong>in</strong>ter <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

<strong>in</strong>tra district Bus, Car <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> Truck were the ma<strong>in</strong> causes of crash whereas slow <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> vulnerable road<br />

user like pedestrians <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> slow motorized vehicles are the worst victims of these killer vehicles.<br />

Reducti<strong>on</strong> of operat<strong>in</strong>g speed <strong>in</strong> the project areas are illustrated <strong>in</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g figures 6.1.<br />
