and workshops on the future direction of the research at three of the most relevant<br />

conferences in the field: IATBR 2009 and 2015, ISCTSC 2014 and TRB 2012.<br />

She is currently Vice-Chair of the International Association for Travel Behaviour Research<br />

(IATBR) where she also served for four years as Secretary and Treasurer. She has also been a<br />

member of the Ph.D. evaluation committees of 9 students and served as member of the<br />

evaluation committee to appoint an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor in Sweden<br />

and as referee for National funds to university research in Switzerland, the Netherlands, and in<br />

Chile.<br />

During her career she has also had a leading role in many national and international research<br />

projects, such as the Green eMotion project, a major project with more than 40 partners,<br />

funded by the European Commission, the 7th Framework program, where she was responsible<br />

to study consumers’ preferences and attitudes to electric vehicles; the economic evaluation of<br />

projects for the regeneration of urban sites of environmental interest, funded by Italian<br />

Ministry for University Research; and the GREAT project (Green Regions with Alternative Fuels<br />

for Transport), another research project funded by the European Commission where she is<br />

currently responsible for studying the effect of dissemination/communication and awareness<br />

on the use of a new network of recharging points for alternative fuel vehicles. She has also<br />

collaborated on several international projects funded by the by the Spanish Ministry for<br />

University Research, the Department for Transport in UK; the Ministry of Transport, Spanish<br />

Government. She is also currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Airport of Cagliari,<br />

Italy (around 4 million passengers/year).<br />

Daniel CHRISTENSEN<br />

Daniel currently serves as Chief of Staff at TIR Consulting Group LLC. Prior to joining TIR<br />

Consulting Group LLC, he gained valuable professional experience at the European Parliament<br />

in Brussels, Belgium, and the Assembly of European Regions in Strasbourg, France.<br />

He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy Studies of the European<br />

Union from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium and a Bachelor of Arts in International<br />

Relations from Claremont McKenna College in California, United States.<br />

His MA dissertation is entitled “The European Parlaiment as an International Actor after Lisbon:<br />

A Case Study in Washington D.C.,” and his BA dissertation is entitled “The ‘Grand Bargain’ of the<br />

21 st Century: Assessing the Adequacies and Inadequacies of the Liberal Intergovernmental<br />

Theory of European Integration in Explaining the Treaty of Lisbon.”<br />
