Summer has finally arrived and with it comes
warm days and hot trends. Our Summer In
The City issue zeroes in on the city girl - how
an urban fashionista survives the summer heat
and looks good getting it all done in the big city.
I’m sharing some incredible designer summer
splurges that you won’t want to miss [NICHE Style
Guide, page 58], and my Editor’s Edition roundup
of unique home and personal style items truly
are “love at first touch” [Touch and Go, page 10].
We are celebrating phenomenal women in this issue!
See how model citizens Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Rosie
Hungtinton-Whiteley and Kate Bosworth do summer
street style [Fashion Forward, page 15], learn about the
rise of design icon Kate Spade [Fashion Legend, page 46],
and read about the exceptional life of sizzling screen star
Sophia Loren [Icon, page 60].
Exclusive shoots in this issue took the NICHE team
all over the globe! I spent time in Bali, producing a
summer fashion feature that is just for us plus size girls
[Summer Curves Reinvented, page 70] and I travelled to
Toronto to share West Queen West’s unique street art
[The Travelling Editor, page 80]. Style Editor Josie Saldat
took a fabulous road trip along Tasmania’s East Coast
[Travel With NICHE, page 52] and came home to curate
a summer vintage inspired fashion shoot at the retro
Hotel Zed [Shoot, page 26].
This is the season to take life a little slower and give
yourself permission to not only stop and smell the roses,
but linger a little longer in those special little shops and
spend more time with friends on your favourite patio!
Warmest wishes,
touch and go
Editor’s Picks
It is those things that get us through the day; unique
purchases that make our life easier and get us out the
door so we can enjoy this amazing summer in the
city. It is those special love at first touch and one touch
application items for our homes and ourselves that we
covet - and these are mine for summer 2016.
lovely necessities every
city girl
needs this summer
The most incredible moisturizer, the softest organic
bed sheeets, a kitchen appliance that will make you
want to cook (even if you don’t know how), my fave
all-day lipstick, and summer inspired bags that will
take you wherever the city concrete or beachy breezes
may take you this season.
TATA HARPER
REBUILDING MOISTURIZER
> one touch application
> love at first touch
My skin superhero recommendation
for summer 2016 - an amazing
lightweight moisturizer that truly does
it all. It provides long lasting (like
ALL day) moisture and a wonderful
matte finish, it gently exfoliates to
remove harsh city build up on your
skin, restores skin’s visible firmness,
and it keeps your complexion
healthy and balanced.
Don’t turn on your hot oven all summer. With an integrated
NICHE magazine
BY: ERIC HIMEL | CELEBRITY STYLIST
Summer is all about ease but you don’t want to throw style
out the door with it. It’s all in the small details - an unusual
use of materials, a different finish on a hem or a reference
to the 70’s and 80’s that isn’t literal but rather makes a nod
to the best of the decade. Work these eight must-haves into
your wardrobe, and everyone will be keeping an eye on you for all
the right reasons this Summer.
Not Your High-School Denim Skirt
Frayed white denim pencil skirt.
Frayed edged denim is all the rage now - take it one step further
with a denim pencil skirt. What’s the difference this time
around? The longer, leaner silhouette makes it less ‘junior’ and
the frayed edge makes it, well, edgier. And yes, go ahead and
dress it up for work.
Eric Himel’s
Colour-Blocking Isn’t
Just About Colour
Colour-block bracelet with different materials.
Colour-blocking was introduced into our fashion lexicon
seasons ago. Now, go for a more sophisticated approach with
colour-blocked materials on a bracelet. Mix different woods or
or different plastics.
Show Less To Show More
Think covering up is matronly? Think again.
The once thought of ‘matronly’ sister to the bikini is all grown up
thanks to it’s reference to the 80’s one piece. Go high on the thigh
for an elongated leg.
MUST-HAVES FOR YOUR 2016 SUMMER WARDROBE
ERIC HIMEL
is a widely known celebrity stylist, fashion expert and media personality.
Raised in Toronto and Dallas, Himel moved to New York City where he
attended Parson’s School of Design and trained under Project Runway’s
Tim Gunn. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and began his styling
career, expanding his business across the US and Canada. Himel’s roster of
celebrity clientele has included Jenny McCarthy, Giuliana Rancic, Pete Wentz,
Gabby Douglas and more, and Eric’s work has been featured in nearly every
major women’s lifestyle magazine in the US. He’s best known for his signature
Closet Purge and has recently began leveraging the online
landscape, offering Virtual Styling Sessions.
SUMMER ISSUE 2016

Give Them The Cold Shoulder
This summer, shoulders are the new breasts.
Shoulders come out of the closet this Summer with endless
incarnations of off-the-shoulders ops. They are sexy
without trying and the one part of the body you will never
have to worry about gaining weight.
Clogging Isn’t Just A Dance
Wooden clog sandals will put the ‘giddy’ in your ‘up’.
Part clog, part sandal with a touch of geisha - this perfect
summer shoe iteration will take you from day to night
and party to party.
Postcards From The Edge
Make it a cruel, cruel summer with this 80’s flashback.
Stylish sunglasses yes, but oh so practical with two glasses
in one - clip-ons are hot again with that Less Than Zero
vibe.
THOM BROWNE
What would Becky Thatcher wear? A cropped flare denim
obvi. The ultimate Summer go-to pant that will show off
all of your fab shoes. Pair with an off-the shoulder top!
Alexander Wang did it right this season.
Peek-A-Boo, I See You
A crocheted dress is easy-breezy - literally.
Crocheted dresses are feminine and innocently sexy. It also
Just as your face gets dirty and
Wash your hair every day during
Summertime is hard on our hair.
If it’s not the heat and humidity,
its the chlorine and the constant
pulling and teasing to achieve cute
Step out of the shadows and let
the sun shine on your hair with
products that help you have your
best summer hair story ever.
For the last six months, the
It doesn’t happen often but two
brands impressed us so much, we
included two products from each
of their summer collections. These
are our five seasonal favourites!
SPADE
by Jennifer Costanzo | fashion columnist
B
orn Katherine Noel Brosnahan on
December 24, 1962 in Kansas City,
Missouri. Kate attended the University
of Kansas, then transferred and
graduated from Arizona State University, with
a degree in journalism. Spade met her future
husband, Andy Spade, in Arizona where they
worked together at a men’s clothing boutique.
Kate Spade was interested in writing and followed
her dreams of journalism when she moved
to Manhattan to work for a fashion magazine
called Mademoiselle in 1986. Spade worked
her way up in the magazine, finally becoming
senior fashion editor and head of accessories
at Mademoiselle. It was at the magazine where
Spade realized her calling, into accessory design.
Spade left the magazine in 1991 to pursue her
dream to create her own handbag, due to the
lack of stylish and sensible handbags at the time.
Working with accessories at Mademoiselle, gave
Spade an extra edge through her knowledge and
interest in handbags. Spade set out to design
the perfect purse and in 1993 she launched her
own line of handbags. The line debuted with
just six silhouettes with which she combined
sleek, utilitarian shapes and colourful palettes
in an entirely new way that was also stylish.
Kate Spade New York had its beginnings in
purses then expanded to clothing, jewelry,
shoes and stationary. In 1996, as the
fashion line was growing, Kate Spade
opened her first boutique in New York.
Her fashion line was followed by a
home collection brand, Kate Spade
at Home, which featured bedding,
bath items, china and wallpaper.
Kate Spade New York was sold to the
Neiman Marcus Group in 1999; however,
the Spades have remained active in the
brand that they so diligently built from
the very beginning. The Kate Spade
brand understands the importance of
taste and style rather than looking at
the trends from season to season, which
makes makes the brand timeless.
This is important to Kate Spade New York,
because any age group can wear the line.
This can be seen in their advertisements
where the brand uses young twentysomething
models, as well as Iris Apfel,
a ninety-four year old fashionista.
As the brand only became bigger
and widely available not only in
the United States but also across
the globe, it became Kate Spade &
Co. in 2007 with Deborah Lloyd
as the president and chief creative
designer. The company’s aim was to
broaden the line while honouring its
rich history. Deborah Lloyd worked
alongside Craig Leavitt, the company’s
CEO to continue building the
clothing and accessories collections.
SUMMER ISSUE 2016

4 DAYS 265 KILOMETRES
&5 WOW MOMENTS
NICHE magazine’s Style Editor, Josie Saldat,
went on an Australian road trip adventure
and brought back photographic evidence as to
why the Tasmanian Coast should be on your
travel bucket list.
by Josie Saldat
The term “pictures do not do justice”
was probaby invented here on the
magically scenic East Coast of Tasmania.
So put down your smartphone, and
truly let your eyes wander this heart shaped
island, located on the edge of the world. With
a tragic past, Tasmania extrudes a mysterious
wisdom and wondrous energy unlike any other.
53

NICHE magazine
Start your road trip up the coast in the capital of
Hobart; a port city with historic architecture, the
narrowest streets and a diverse artistic population.
A city of contrast combining heritage charm with
modern living, locals live only a short drive away from
some of the world’s most alluring coastal beaches
and endless pristine landscapes. For local “tassies”,
February is the end of summer and beginning of a
new work or school year, but for travellers it is a time
of vacant roads and secluded raw landscapes. It may
be one of the world’s most underrated destinations
so be sure to go before the rest of the world clues in.
If there is one thing you should know about road
tripping in Tasmania: it is all about the journey. In
other words, strive to become a Tasmanian sponge
and submerse yourself into exploring the island.
Through corridors of green the dramatic windy roads
offer vantage points to uninhabited turquoise coasts.
Past the small community of Swansea lies
Freycinet National Park, home to one of the most
magnificent and picturesque locales, Wineglass
Bay. Opt for the trek down to the beach instead
of the lookout. You will need to walk the beach to
truly feel the magic of this secluded hotspot. The
walk is worth the legwork of one hour from the
car park. Besides, if you have been sitting in the
car it’s a great opportunity to stretch your legs.
With the rugged backdrop of the Hazzards, a series of
jagged red and pink tinted granite peaks, you should
devote an entire day just to explore here. If you
want to spend a few days, there are many amenities
accessible including camping, hostels, equipped
cabins or the ultimate retreat, Saffire Freycinet
which has been named Australia’s top luxury hotel.
Hop out of your vehicle and roam the soft white and
squeaky sand floors of Binalong Bay. On the south
side of the beach lays the Bay of Fires which may
feel like the Caribbean, except swap the palm trees
for Tasmania’s majestic gum trees. Given the name
in 1773 by Captain Tobias Furneaux for the burnt
orange-hued granite boulders hugging the coast
that contrast against the clear blue waters. Here
you can post up for the night at the Bay of Fires
Conservation Area which offers beachside camping
with dreamy views of acacia trees and the sea.
Not far away lies the largest town on the northeast
coast, St. Helens. As the state’s second largest
fishing port, seafood does not have to swim far to
your plate. Local family owned pizzeria, Timboli’s
serves up an Italian classic, pizza topped with
mouthwatering seafood – and yes, I recommend
ordering a large pie. To walk off the copious
amounts of cheese, grab your sneakers and explore
the spectacular hour long walk to St. Helens Point
and the Peron Dunes, where you can run around
pretending you are in the Sahara Desert or simply
enjoy the sunset from a sensational bed of sand.
Off the Tasmanian Coast are many surrounding
islands that are lush with nature and wildlife. Take
a thirty minute ferry ride to Maria Island National
Park, where native animals roam freely and pieces
of the island’s criminal past remain. Pack a picnic
and wander the island to see ruins of the mess
room, barn, chapel and prison cells - all dating
back to the Darlington convict settlement of 1825.
When you return to Hobart you can catch a
quick passenger ferry over to Bruny, the apple
island that exemplifies the term “room to roam”.
Consisting of two land masses joined by a long
narrow isthmus, the island was inhabited by the
Tasmania Aborigines until European arrival.
Visit a plaque dedicated to Explorer James Cook
who came to the island
in 1777 and carved his
initials in a tree that burnt
down in 1905 and was
replaced with the plaque.
Since the 1920’s, Bruny
has become infamous for a
holiday hotspot with hiking
trails, surfing beaches,
ancient caves and a small
friendly local community.
In total, North Bruny and
South Bruny together
have nine coastal enclaves
with the most popular
being Adventure Bay. Dip
into Hotel Bruny, where
freshness and food made on
premises is their specialty.
Try the fish of the day,
caught by local fishermen
Dave and Ross, who bring
in an exclusive ‘catch of
the day’ that constantly
changes and is paired with Bruny Island’s
original cider. Food for the body and food for
the mind; indulge your inner creative self on
an island that welcomes you as a local yourself.
A taste of Tasmania is all one needs to spark a
connection with the heart shaped island and make
a promise that a return will not be far in the horizon.
SOPHIA
LOREN
SENSUOUS STRUT TO STARDOM
Born as Sofia Scicolone in Rome, Italy in
1934, Loren was raised by mostly her
mother in the small fishing town of
Pozzuoli. Experiencing much sadness
in her childhood, alongside her sister, Loren grew
up during the second World War with no support
from her father. Loren’s life changed when she
entered a beauty contest at age fourteen and was
ranked a finalist. Film Producer and judge of one
of the multiple beauty contests Loren went on to
partake in, Carlo Ponti caught Loren’s eye and
wed in 1957. Ponti took Loren under his wings
and acted as not only a partner, but of somewhat
a father figure that Loren never experienced.
The launch of Loren’s career began as most do – as
an extra. After playing an extra in ten films in the
1950’s, Loren made her way up to supporting roles.
Diving into the industry, in her late teens,
Loren started playing lead roles, with her
move into American film with Boy on a
Dolphin, Legend of the Lost and The Pride and
the Passion - all in 1957. Loren’s co-star Cary
Grant was drawn towards Loren’s alluring aura
of mystery and Italian beauty and proposed
during the short split she had with Ponti. Loren
rejected the proposal and remarried Ponti.
Loren signed a contract with Paramount
Pictures and starred in many American movies
throughout the sixties, then returned to Italy to
star as Cesira in Two Women, from which she
received international acclaim and was honoured
with an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1962.
Loren was now the first actress to win an Academy
Award for a non-English-speaking performance.
For the next decade, Loren travelled back and
forth from America to her beloved home in
Italy to complete projects on multiple films.
During these years, she was rewarded for her
contribution to the movie industry with an Oscar
nomination and five Golden Globe Awards.
Throughout the 1980’s, Loren appeared in
only a handful of movies as she focused on
raising her two sons, Carlo Jr. and Edoardo.
Loren also successfully made the transition into
becoming a creative entrepreneur and being the
first actress to launch a signature fragrance line as
well as a popular collection of designer eyewear.
Loren made a comeback into the
film industry after her mother
had passed in 1991 of cancer.
Making appearances in mainstream comedies
like the 1995 hit comedy with Walter Mattau and
Jack Lemmon, Grumpier Old Men, as well as art
house films, Loren has spanned a career over six
decades and remains one of the most recognizable
figures in the international film industry.
Loren’s husband, Carlo Ponti died in 2007 at age
94, and Loren mourned his loss for a few years
before returning to the spotlight to star opposite
Daniel Day-Lewis in the 2009 musical Nine
Loren now divides her time between
Switzerland and Los Angeles where she
can be close to her two sons and live a low
profile lifestyle. Making occasional red
carpet appearances, Loren is still
seen wearing her signature eye
makeup and bombshell curls.
IS NOT SOMETHING PHYSICAL.”
ACCESSORY
WALL
BRUNCH TO BEACH
by Sylvia Tennant | fashion columnist
Dressing for summer in the city has taken on new
meaning for me this year. Since the early signs of
spring, I’ve begun slowly streamlining my warm
weather staples to accommodate both a polished
appearance and the relaxed vibes of my seaside
location. Curating a sophisticated yet beach-ready
wardrobe is not easy (I’m reluctantly kissing my
beloved cutoffs goodbye) however I’m getting
creative with multi-purpose accessories that
translate effortlessly to ocean-side essentials any
day of the week.
SUMMER’S IT BAG
Alexander Wang’s final collection
for Balenciaga was by far his best.
Inspired by his California roots, the
ivory-colored collection featured
relaxed styling and one particularly
beautiful woven beach bag. The
quirkiness of the fringe detail
makes this the perfect lighthearted
statement piece that has enough
room for all of your necessities.
GIRL’S GOTTA HAVE A HAT
Eugenia Kim’s hats are a social media
phenomenon. Bloggers featured her “Do
Not Disturb” Sunny hat heavily this year, but
I’m coveting the less floppy “Daydreamer”
version. The natural colour and black suede
embroidery is chic for weekend brunch, and
the boater hat design provides practical sun
coverage. (Eugenia Kim Brigitte Hat, $375)
JEWELLERY
From Chloé’s gold-tone anklets
to Zaleska’s new raw diamond
stacking rings ($195, zaleska.ca), the
overarching theme of summer 2016
is NO TAN LINES. Leave the larger
statement pieces at home and keep
your accessories game uncomplicated
by layering minimalist pieces.
SEASONAL SCARF
A lightweight scarf is a girl’s best
friend during the summer months. It
can be worn casually over a jacket on
cooler days, transform into a sarong
at the beach, or cover your partner’s
burned shoulders (that’s what mine
does). Eileen Fisher’s Shibori Tassel
Scarf ($130, saks.ca) will do all three.
SUMMER SANDALS
These elevated alternatives to the
flip-flop can be styled a million ways
because of their neutral details. Zara’s
white studded sandals are the perfect
leather slip-on and retail for under
$50. If you need a boost, the feminine
and sophisticated T-bar heels from
Zimmerman ($385, bonadrag.com)
feature beautiful braided detailing
and a modest block heel.
READ A GOOD BOOK
My obsession with DVF has
officially hit an all-time high after
reading “The Woman I Wanted
To Be”, by Diane von Furstenburg.
It is a glimpse into the creative
mind and opulent world of an
iconic designer who became a
princess in her early 20’s, defined
the 1970’s New York party scene,
and produced one of the world’s
most iconic dresses. It’s the perfect
#WHATSINMYBAG
We are all over the moon that summer
is here. However, these are the days
that make us feel like we are going to
melt in the rays of the sun. Every city girl wants
to look polished no matter what the weather
conditions. Here are my summer makeup tips
(and product recommendations) to remain
looking flawless even when the humidex can
make us feel anything but cool.
1.
2.
CHOOSE YOUR DAILY
SUNSCREEN WISELY
Opt for a sunscreen that is light-weight,
oil-free, fragrance free, non-greasy
and great under makeup. My absolute
favourite is Kiehl’s Super Fluid UV
Defense SPF 50+. With sunscreen that
is 50+ and water-resistant, your skin is
protected in any situation, even when you
have decided to meet your girlfriends on a
sun-filled patio for happy hour cocktails.
PREP AND PRIME
YOUR SKIN
Benefit Cosmetics recently launched a
new pre-makeup matte gel to keep your
chosen cosmetic applications in place all
day: The POREfessional: Matte Rescue
Invisible Finish Mattifying Gel is to
be applied under your POREfessional
Primer (sold separately). What it does
is reduces shine and absorbs excess
surface oil to leave your skin with a
gorgeous matte surface. It is extremely
light-weight and water-based, so you
won’t feel like your skin is overloaded
once your makeup has been applied.
5.
OPT FOR A SHEER [NOT
HEAVY] FOUNDATION
Summer isn’t the time to cake on that
face makeup. It’s time to let your skin
breathe and for that sun-kissed natural
glow to be the focus. MAC Cosmetics
has the perfect formulation for the warm
summer months - MAC Face & Body
Foundation. It’s a comfortable, lightweight
fluid foundation with a unique blend of
emollients that delivers low-to-medium
buildable coverage and a natural satin
finish. The moisturizing, long-wearing
formula provides stay-true colour.
GO WATERPROOF
ON THE EYES
When we start to sweat, our eye makeup
begins to break down and droop around
the eyes if the formulations aren’t
made to withstand the heat. Choose
a waterproof eyeliner and mascara to
add to your daily makeup bag during
the hot summer months. My mascara
recommendation is Yves Saint Laurent
Everlong Mascara Waterproof, and
my eyeliner suggestion is Makeup
Forever Aqua Eyes Pencils (specially
formulated for synchronized swimmers).
SWITCH UP YOUR
LIP ROUTINE
Pick a lipstick that is hydrating yet has a
matte, long-wearing finish to minimize
your need to touch up on the reg. Also,
this season is also the time to be daring
with your colour choices! I am loving
the new Katy Perry X Covergirl launch
of the Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks! These
lipsticks come in 11 gorgeous shades
from every day to daring and have a
hydrating demi-matte finish. A cheap and
cheerful option with adorable packaging
and all named after something felineinspired
to honour her love for cats!
THE BOMBER JACKET IS HERE TO STAY
O
FIX
by Jennifer Costanzo | fashion columnist
The bomber jacket is the latest buzz worthy garment
guaranteed to take you through summer in style,
and after that into fall and winter with some stylish
layering. The bomber has been seen on runways,
for girls and for boys, across the fashion capitals,
from Saint Laurent, Dries van Noten and Gucci.
A nod to utilitarian minimalism, this style has
quite the history. The bomber jacket is an icon
of enduring style. It had its beginning as a men’s
military jacket, keeping the backs of war time fighter
pilots warm. The style was seen on the skinheads
during the 1980’s, tucked into acid wash jeans and
paired with Doc Martens. Following the renewal of
the trend in the 1980’s, the bomber was seen again
with the revival of 1990’s street and hip hop wear.
The bomber can be seen not only on the runways
of SS 2016 but also in the upcoming season for FW
2016 collections. A major staple for street style stars,
the satin bomber is becoming the trend of choice,
sometimes in a simple colour or embellished with
embroidery or mesh. Seen on all the ‘It Girls’ from
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, the bomber is a
versatile topper to any outfit and can be worn with
anything. If you are looking for a ‘model-off-duty
look’, throw a bomber over a t-shirt and leggings and
finish off with sneakers or throw it over a skirt or
trousers for a more pulled together look. To look on
trend at a festival this summer, pair the bomber with
a crop top and shorts or over a midi dress. No matter
how you wear it, the bomber jacket will instantly
freshen up an outfit. The bomber jacket is the jacket
of the season and shows no sign of slowing down.
TRAVELLING
EDITOR
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW
SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME?
BY: TRACEY DRAKE | THE TRAVELLING EDITOR
TORONTO’S WEST QUEEN WEST
I
have always been attracted to Toronto. I lived there for a few
years in the early 1980’s, and my daughter lives there now. I
thought I knew this city pretty well but on my most recent visit
to the big T.O, I met up with cultural concierge Betty Ann Jordan
(artsinline.com) who took me on a walking tour of a fascinating upand-coming
neighbourhood - West Queen West. Touted as the “New
West End”, this little enclave is rife with exceptional art, unique graphic
and home design shops, and some pretty incredible food. However,
what really stuck with me (even all these months later) was the street
art that seemed to be everywhere; the vintage buildings making bold
statements, the colourful graffiti art and the eclectic signs – bright
modern neon living harmoniously alongside homemade kitschy store
signs. It is a neighbourhood that is growing up but working equally hard
to hold onto its inner child. I respect that in a community.
This was my first time deep into the West Queen West community. Our
walking tour started at the famous Drake Hotel (love the name, by the
way). Rumour has it that when The Drake Hotel opened in 2004, it
began the neighbourhood transformation – bringing life and creativity
to a drab and lifeless part of Toronto. For a property with just nineteen
rooms, its artistic aesthetic packs a mean punch. The artwork, the
history, and the ambiance all meld together perfectly. I loved The Sun
Falls on Toronto interior arwork in the south lounge by Jason McLean
and the exterior Think Up Idea wall mural on the roof terrace.
Walking down Queen West with Betty Ann was invigorating and
exciting; she was brimming with local information and passion for this
neighbourhood. She introduced me to store owners and entrepreneurs,
artists and residents who all shared her passion. I spent time in some
cool little shops; a few of my favourites included The Paper Place and
Cocktail Emporium, which had an amazing retro neon sign.
My stand-out favourite art piece was the giant wall mural, You’ve
Changed, created by artist Jesse Harris in 2012. Strong words that refer
to the changing face of the West Queen West neighbourhood.
Near the end of our walking tour, we came upon a colourful Japanese
wall mural that must have spanned fifty feet across the side of the Sanko
Trading Company building at Queen Street West and Claremont. Created
in 2014 by creative director Ken Galloway and five Japanese artists –
Timothy Fukakusa, Mitsuo Kimura, Takashi Iwasaki, Darcy Obokata, and
Shogo Okada – the intention was to explore, celebrate and share various
elements of Japanese culture. It is stunning!
Next time you are in Toronto, take a walk! Head down to West Queen
West, giving yourself lots of time to wander into all the locally run
shops, savour the unique flavours and gaze upon the many forms of art
that line the streets.
