Time Delay Range<br />

The time delay period is determined by the connection of a<br />

resistor across the centre two terminals. As supplied, the unit<br />

provides a nominal 1 second delay. Add 10KΩ of resistance for<br />

every additional second of delay required.<br />

For example: 5 seconds = 40 KΩ<br />

10 seconds = 90 KΩ<br />

The AGASTAT VTM-1 In-Line Timing Module<br />

provides, in a single compact design, remarkable<br />

economy, exceptional simplicity, and unprecedented<br />

application flexibility. Wired in series into<br />

a load circuit, it will control inductive loads of up<br />

to 1A, RMS AC or DC. The current drain of this<br />

unique new device is extremely low: no more<br />

than 2 mA is drawn by the module at any time —<br />

only 0.2% of its load current rating. Connecting a<br />

resistor of a predetermined value across the<br />

centre terminals provides tamper-proof selection<br />

of the delay period.<br />

The VTM-1 will accommodate power-circuit voltages from<br />

24V to 240V, RMS AC or DC, all at 1A RMS or DC load<br />

current. The delay range is wide: 1 to 1000 seconds,<br />

linearly proportional to the programming resistor, at<br />

10KΩ/second above a 1 second minimum time. Reset time<br />

is 0.1 second maximum, with a repeat accuracy of ±2%.<br />

The remarkably small size (less than that of a<br />

power relay) and simple, encapsulated construction of<br />

the VTM-1 underscore its unusual reliability.<br />

Quite literally, it is designed as a “wire-it-in-and-forget-it”<br />

component for demanding industrial environments.<br />

ON DELAY<br />

VTM-1 In-Line timing module is wired in series with<br />

load circuit. Time delay is initiated when power is<br />

applied to the series network. Connecting a resistor<br />

across the centre terminals provides tamper-proof<br />

setting of time delay from 1 - 1000 secs.<br />
