Oetiker 2-Ear Clamps are especially suited for factory maintenance or
heavily vibrating equipment. This is a medium pressure clamp widely used
for maintenance and OEM applications. Rubber hose, plastic tubing,
coaxial and electrical cable, rope etc. are all easily clamped. These clamps
are installed on air, fluid gas and steam lines. The one piece design offers
a positive, tamper-proof seal without damage to the hose. Oetiker 2-Ear
Clamps assure adequate closure and compensate for tolerance variations in
hose sizes. Closing both ears builds strength into the clamp in spring-like action to hold against
pressure, vibrations and hose shrinkage due to temperature changes or aging. Also suitable for lowpressure
hydraulic applications.

An incorrectly made installaton may
impair the best connection. A clamp
installed too tightly can collapse or
deform the parts to be connected or
can cut the material to be clamped,
thus causing leakage.
When the clamp ears can be closed all
the way, the clamp size selected is

Installation: when installing Oetiker 2-
Ear Clamps, close first ear, then the
second. Once second ear is closed, first
one opens up slightly and may be
squeezed again. Each Clamp ear should
not be squeezed more than twice.

Side Jaw Pincers
This dual purpose side jaw
design allows clamps to be
applied or removed in confined
areas with pincers held parallel
to the hose. Also used like
Standard Pincers.
Position clamp on hose
as illustrated.
HOW TO REMOVE:
Grip the outer edge of ear
firmly and cut through it with
either pincers.
Give each ear a firm squeeze
with your OETIKER Pincers
Cut the ear by taking several
small bites at its base with
either pincers.
Where access to ear is
difficult, use OETIKER’s
Side Jaw Pincers Model

Then grip ear
firmly and twist
it off.
