The machinist, tool and die maker, millwright, design engineer have<br />

found shim stock an economical answer for solving a variety of<br />

industrial and commercial shimming problems.<br />

Precision Brand Steel Shim is a cold rolled, full hard bright finish, low<br />

carbon material with a maximum carbon content up to 0.15%, and a<br />

minimum hardness of RB80. Shim is versatile. It is universally used<br />

for tool and die alignment, arbor spacers, and all shim applications<br />

where combined hardness, flatness and accuracy is required. Save<br />

hours of costly machine and assembly work. This material is<br />

intended for flatwork and punching only, as it has not been annealed<br />

after final cold rolling, and is very stiff and springy. Precision Brand<br />

Steel Shim meets QQS-698 and AISI-1010. Also meets steel shim<br />

standards 16A and 16AA.<br />

When accuracy counts, come to the people who know shim stock and<br />

the importance of close tolerances. You don’t pay any more for the<br />
