THE RIVET NUT BLIND FASTENER IS THE SOLUTION.
RIVET NUTS are tubular rivets with internal threads.
A hand or power tool pull-up stud engages the
threads of the Rivet Nut and exerts a pull, causing the
shank to expand tightly against the material being
fastened. After the Rivet Nut is installed, there are
clean threads available for screw attachments of
hinges, handles, brackets, metal partitions, knobs or
other accessories.
Rivet Nuts have been widely used in airplanes for
Deicer attachment, access doors, luggage racks,
static eliminators, radar equipment, in stoves, kitchen
cabinets, appliances, buses and trucks, vending machines,
storm doors and windows and in many automotive
applications.
Rivet Nuts can be installed in seconds—by one person
working from one side.
Rivet Nuts require no finishing work—once the Rivet Nut
is installed it is ready for use.
