"E-Z Lok" Press Inserts
for Cored or Drilled Holes in Plastics
This diamond knurled insert was designed to replace molded-in inserts
and threads in plastic castings. Installed "cold", the 240 sharply reduces
the cost of moldings. The number of "shots" per hour is multiplied, reject
waste caused by misaligned and faulty inserts is cut and no retapping to
clean threads is necessary. In addition to providing clean threads, the
240 also provides screw-locking action unobtainable in molded-in
inserts. Along with this self-locking feature, you also have an insert that
is not critical to hole depth and does not require any secondary operation
to secure the fastener in the hole.
