Managerial Implications<br />

This study was conducted to analyze the impact of motivators and hygiene factors on job<br />

satisfaction of university faculty members. This study can be helpful for the universities as<br />

it will possibly enhance the satisfaction of the faculty members regarding their job. They<br />

will not change their university frequently, provided that the university improves on the<br />

entire above mentioned dimensions fall under the category of motivators and hygiene. This<br />

model is equally important for all types of organizations whether public or private other<br />

than universities. Beside managerial implications, this study is equally important for the<br />

academia world. This model can be added to the syllabus of human resource management<br />

subject for better understanding and conceptualization for the students.<br />

Practical Implications<br />

The biggest hurdle in the way of conducting this study was limited time because the<br />

questionnaire was self-administered and it took a lot of time to gather the data. Another<br />

major hurdle was the non-corporative attitude of the respondents. Last but not the least cost<br />

constraint was also a hurdle in materializing this study to its final shape.<br />

Suggestions for future research<br />

Many questions and dimensions remained unanswered for which future research can be<br />

initiated. For instance this study can be expanded to other Asian countries. The study still<br />

has many gaps which are required to be filled as many other variables were not analyzed<br />

like emotional intelligence, commitment, job security and job involvement. The model can<br />

be further improved by the addition relevant variables in upcoming researches.<br />
