Jokers True Identity
By Siddharth Bhandary
The Joker is the most iconic villain in comic book history. Most
of us know the Joker either from the movies and in the comics.
But one thing that might be on everyone’s mind is , who
is The Joker? Who was The Joker before he became ‘the
clown prince of crime’ that we all know of.
Before The New 52 relaunch by DC it was said that The
Joker was originally an engineer in Ace Chemical Processing
Inc who quits his job to be a stand up comedian and fails
miserably. He had a pregnant wife named Jeannie who dies
due to a household accident. To support his family he helps a
group of criminals to break into Ace Chemicals. He is encountered
by Batman and due to fear he accidently leaps over a
rail and falls in a vat of chemicals. This results in changing his
appearance and ultimately turning him insane.
In Justice League issue #44 Batman had acquired The Mobius
Chair which has the ability to give its user an answer to
any question. Batman had tested this chair by asking who
killed his parents. The Mobius Chair answered correctly. Then
Batman had asked The Mobius Chair who is The Joker.
As Batman got his answer he was shocked and said “No.
That’s not possible”. The comic ended in a cliffhanger. In Justice
League issue #50 Green Lantern asked Batman what
the chair said. Batman replied saying that the chair said there
were three. Many fans were angry about this as they had
expected that the identity of the joker was to be revealed in
this issue. The Joker is a unique character who
maintains his enigma by keeping his identity a secret.
WHAT DOES PEP HAVE TO SAY?
By Cyriac Talus
Pep Guardiola, Mancitiy’s current manager,
quotes:
“Vincent and Sergio’s futures are at Manchester
City. When he is fit, he is a real central defender.
I like him. With respect to Aguero, it was a tactical
decision. I wanted one more midfield player
in the middle. I try to keep the ball because
when you have it, Lionel Messi, Neymar and
Luis Suarez don’t.
“The next time before you give your opinion and
decide Sergio is not in my plans you can call
me. I appreciate him as a football player and as
a man. When Sergio decides to leave Manchester
City, it will be his decision.
“I saw the game this morning and until the first
goal the game was under control. My mistake is
my mistake. Aguero was my decision. We lost
4-0. I’m guilty. If we win in Barcelona, I am a genius.”
Only time will say if he truly is a genius
How to be positive
Being positive is commonly defined as state at which you are ready to accept anything
or any situation without any hesitation. To me it's just when you feel on top of the
world and having no difficulty in overcoming your obstacles. I've often heard other
people especially elders telling me to be positive just by putting up a grin on your face.
Well putting a grin on your face isn't the only requirement for being positive, besides by
just by putting up a grin on your sad face your only covering your difficulties and not
curing it within yourself. That's why I'll be telling you some ways to jumpstart your funo-meter
to full scale !!!
Think positive
Obviously to be positive you've gotta think positive. Well here's the common question
"how do I think positive?" When it comes to thinking positively, it actually not that hard.
All you gotta do is be aware of your self and your thoughts. Suppose you were in a
really bad mood because you were really depressed about something, all you should do
is think about why were depressed and be aware of your thought. This would help you
locate the reason for your dullness. Then after finding the reason for your emptiness
think, or even better would be to visualize a better way of how you could act to your
current situation. But personally if you asked me , the method which worked best for
me , was when I gave myself pep talks. This would sound strange but it would prove
effective once you get the hang of it( it might not work initially but it will get better).
Indian youth in UAE, too Indian or too
western ?
By Gaurav Kewalramni
With the present population growth and influence of past popn. patterns,
the southeast Asian population has taken a remarkable hike, primarily Indians.
I’m sure all the residents of UAE reading this will recall the number
of times they have come across Indians who are or have been an integral
part of all significant features in the region. The Indian community has
contributes majorly towards the prosperity and joy amongst citizens in
the UAE. But often rises a debate questioning the present state of the Indian
youth in UAE. A common question is that whether the youth carries
the roots of its previous generation or does it seek influence from other
cultures, particularly western.
Since a long time, the youth has followed the western culture by cloning
their style of dressing, their food and even their carefree or so-called
‘swag’ nature. In view of my premier point, I, being an Indian resident
of the emirates myself have come across numerous individuals wearing
jeans, eating at McDonald’s and posting on social networking sites rather
frequently. This stuff is not only in UAE but everywhere across the world.
For instance, I didn’t feel different while communicating or travelling with
the lads of my age group on my latest trip to india.
It felt like my residential community in dubai. Another perfect example
was my trip to the states wherein I sensed a feeling of inter-connectedness
as well as openness amongst the people after observing their lifestyle,
dialect and openness.
It is a certainty that the relations with all the citizens of the world will better.
However, we have developed a thick skin towards patriotism. I’ll conclude
by saying that one should observe, open but not at the expense of
your roots, colour and ethnicity.

It’s nothing lame.
