BUSINESS OVERVIEW<br />

As promised September was a<br />

packed month. We kept building our<br />

brand, approaching a relationship<br />

with our consumers with events<br />

like: ModaLisboa, Portugal<br />

Fashion and surf shows, that are<br />

important to Portuguese<br />

consumer and therefor for<br />

Samsung in Portugal. We need<br />

this close relationship more than<br />

ever and their engagement is vital<br />

to overcame any difficulty that is<br />

set in our path (eg.Note7). In this<br />

sense we will prepare a strong<br />

Christmas campaign to once more<br />

surprise and involve our consumers.<br />

In business we have continue to move towards our target<br />

reaching 92%VsMP year to date, whilst continuing our<br />

profit performance versus last year.<br />

In terms of key achievement we are close to reach 5000<br />

Addwash units showing that even the impossible is<br />

possible. When I see this result and the job that ALL team as<br />

done together I really think that is not much impossible we can<br />

not overcame, so my message to you follow our brand moto:<br />

Samsung invited “Querido Mudei a Casa” (TV Show)<br />

designer to develop Samsung stand on Moda Lisboa<br />

event. The main inspiration was SERIF TV.<br />

MODA LISBOA – ONLINE ACTIVATION<br />

For the first time Samsung open his door to Instagram official<br />

page! We invited @amariavaidosa (more than 100K<br />

followers) to be in charge of Samsung page for a day.<br />

Samsung and @amariavaidosa fans could follow her vision<br />

of the event in real time. All photos were taken with a<br />

GalaxyS7.<br />

With this activation Samsung achieved a exponential growth<br />

with 5.6K interactions on that day ( 5X times more than<br />

usual ). And we growth more than 1K followers in day.<br />

@amariavaidosa had more than 67K interactions on her<br />

Instagram page.<br />

All results are organic with no paid media

You are never too old to start surfing<br />

The main motto that links Samsung to Surf is<br />

#dowhatyoucant. And that was the main idea behind the<br />

activation Samsung took to a retirement home located in<br />

Casa Branca, Alentejo, at a 3 hour drive from Peniche,<br />

where the Portuguese chapter of the World Surf<br />

Championship was happening.<br />

Last year we invited children to surf with our GearVR. This<br />

17 th of October, we chose to do the same with elderly people,<br />

some of whom never had the opportunity to actually see the<br />

sea during their lifetime, despite having more than 80 years<br />

old. Now, not only they “saw” it, as they had the<br />

opportunity to “dive” and to “surf” using Samsung<br />

technology.<br />

It was surely a different afternoon, and the proof that it’s<br />

never too late to do things we thought were not possible.

Name: Carla Lopes<br />

Role: Legal Counsel Manager<br />

Joined <strong>SEP</strong>: 2012-07-02<br />

What are your main responsibilities?<br />

I work as Legal Counsel Manager. My main goal is to provide all<br />

business, marketing and support areas at <strong>SEP</strong> with contracts that<br />

best suit the company.<br />

In our team, we also send out legal opinions that enable <strong>SEP</strong> to<br />

comply with the law, or even to be prepared to go to court.<br />

My role’s goal is not so much to make money, but mostly to save<br />

money, by protecting the company. This is why we also provide<br />

training on legal matters within our compliance program.<br />

What was your most positive moment in <strong>SEP</strong>?<br />

I have been in <strong>SEP</strong> for 4 years. It was<br />

long way since the moment when there<br />

was no legal counsel until now. In the<br />

meantime, there were a lot of positive<br />

moments, in particular the small ones. It is<br />

quite rewarding to find that there has been<br />

an important increase of awareness on<br />

compliance matters when talking to the<br />

people at <strong>SEP</strong>.<br />

The legal team is part of the team that<br />

prepares the marketing campaigns,<br />

including the launch of the new flagship<br />

products and the Samsung branded stores,<br />

which is quite exciting to be involved in.

What was your most positive moment in <strong>SEP</strong>?<br />

Our work often demands that we get totally different teams together<br />

for the same project. This is a challenge, but also a great way to get the<br />

best results.<br />

What <strong>SEP</strong> doesn’t know about you?<br />

I have been working as a lawyer for 14 years. Previously I worked in a big law firm,<br />

mostly in contract law and competition law. As an in-house lawyer, I got to use the<br />

experience and expertise of a big law firm with the advantage of having more contact<br />

with business areas, which I find important for the legal assistance to have real added<br />

value.
