GROWMAXX – Black Diamond
For Farmer and Gardener

• GROWMAXX is the first of its kind fertilizer (contains macro
and micro nutrients, soil conditioner, and growth promoter)
in the Philippines combining Humic Acid with Nitrogen,
Amino Acid and Potassium in powdered form. This product
helps plants improve absorption of macro and trace nutrients
by enhancing the opening of stomas. It is proven to increase
crop resistance during adverse condition.
• GROWMAXX improves flavor, color, firmness and preservation of
the fruit. It also helps the plants adjust the right pH for the soil
thereby restoring the fertility of the soil. With its high amino
acicontent, it helps in the formation of proteins and plant d cells.

GUARANTEED ANALYSIS
Humic Acid 50%
Nitrogen 16%
Amino Acid 10%
Potassium as K 2 O 1%
Organic Matter 70%

• Humics are the most natural and organic way to provide
plants and soil with a concentrated dose of essential
nutrients, vitamins and trace elements. They are complex
molecules that exist naturally in soils, peats, oceans and
fresh waters. The best and most concentrated sources of
humic acids are derived from a compressed organic
compound known as Leonardite derived from fresh water
deposits.
• Leonardite is the completely decomposed remnants of living
organisms derived from hundreds of years of humification. Like
manures and other organic compounds that are used to build
richly fertile compost, so too Leonardite is the end result of natures
own composting derived at a time when the earth had minimal
pollutants. As a comparison, Peat is derived from only a few years
of decomposed organic matter.

Physical Benefits
• Increases water holding capacity.
• Increases aeration of soil.
• Improves soil workability.
• Helps resist drought.
• Improves seedbed.
• Makes soil more friable and crumbly.
• Reduces soil erosion.

Chemical Benefits
• Retains water soluble inorganic fertilizers in the
root zone and releases them to plant when needed.
• Promotes the conversion of a number of elements
into forms available to plants.
• Possesses extremely high ion-exchange capacities.
• Participates in the decomposition of minerals.
• Increases buffering properties of soil.
• Chelates metal ions under alkaline conditions.
• Increases percentage of total nitrogen in the soil.
• Reduces soil erosion.

• Cation Exchange Capacity CEC CEC, estimate
of the soils ability to attract, retain, and
exchange cation elements.

Biological Benefits
• Stimulates plant growth by accelerating cell division and
increasing rate of development in the root systems.
• Increases seed germination and viability.
• Increases vitamin content of plant.
• Increases the permeability of plant membranes; promoting
the uptake of nutrients.
• Stimulates root growth, especially length.
• Increases root respiration and formation.
• Stimulates growth and proliferation of desirable soil microorganisms.
• Aids in photosynthesis.
• Acts as an organic catalyst.
• Has no detrimental effect on quality of product.

• Humus, i.e. soil organic matter stimulates the
growth of soil organisms, which helps make
the nutrients in the organic matter available to
the plants.

microbes can
balance soil acidity
and alkalinity
Soil bacteria transform
nutrients from "forms not
usable by the plant" to
"forms usable by the
plant"

• Nitrogen is an important building block of
proteins in the plant. It promotes the growth of
stalks and leaves. With sufficient nitrogen, the
leaves become big and succulent; with insufficient
nitrogen the plant’s growth is severely inhibited,
and its leaves are small and fibrous.
• Nitrogen is also needed for the green color of the plant.
If a deficiency of nitrogen occurs, the older leaves turn
pale-green to yellow, and the young leaves eventually do
the same. A severe nitrogen deficiency will prevent the
plant from flowering.

Potassium (K) increases crop yield and improves quality. It is
required for numerous plant growth processes.
• Increases root growth and improves drought resistance
• Activates many enzyme systems
• Maintains turgor; reduces water loss and wilting
• Aids in photosynthesis and food formation
• Maintain good respiration, preventing energy losses
• Enhances translocation of sugars and starch
• Produces grain rich in starch
• Increases protein content of plants
• Builds cellulose and reduces lodging
• Helps retard crop diseases

• Amino Acid is the widely used plant growth
promoters in the agriculture sector. Generally
applied as base fertilizer on varied types of
agricultural crops, these chemicals have direct or
indirect affect on the physiological activities of the
plant.
• There are number of benefits of using this amino acid
powder in the agriculture field, that include improving
the color, preservation and flavor of fruits, facilitating
the plant to generate its own proteins and increasing the
crop resistance power against adverse weather
conditions.

• The yield of pechay per hectare
as affected by GROWMAXX
fertilizer and as a soil
conditioner is presented in the
figure below (FPA Terminal
Report, 2015). It is clear that the
plants applied with
GROWMAXX gave the highest
yields.
• It is noticeable that there is an
increase of 18.9% between T3 and
T4 due to the addition of
GROWMAXX fertilizer.
• It is important to note also that
applying pure GROWMAXX
(T5) gave a higher yield than
applying 1/2 RR NPK
conventional fertilizer (T3) by
9.45%.
LEGEND:
T1 = Control (no fertilizer)
T2 = 140-20-0 kg NPK per ha (Recommended
Rate or RR)
T3 = 70-10-0 kg NPK per ha (1/2 RR)
T4 = 70-10-0 kg NPK per ha (1/2 RR) + 1.2kg
GROWMAXX
T5 = 1.2 kg GROWMAXX per ha
T6 = 140-20-0 kg NPK per ha (RR) + 1.2kg
GROWMAXX

• It is a fertilizer (with macro and micro
nutrients, a soil conditioner, and a growth
promoter in one pack
• It can be used as a stand-alone fertilizer
• It reduces higher amount of Urea or Nitrogen,
hence more economical
• It can be used to provide greater amount of
macro-nutrients to Organic Fertilizers such as
manures and composts
• The nutrients are retained longer to the soil
