Skunk cabbage
IDEA: dysentery, respiratory diseases, nervous disorders, rheumatism, and dropsy
The rootstock and roots of skunk cabbage have been used to treat respiratory ailments, including:
It is helpful for nervous disorders, spasmodic problems, rheumatism, and dropsy. Some Native
Americans boiled the root hairs to make a wash for stopping external bleeding. One tribe
use during pregnancy.
Case: 60 year old male with long lasting food allergic dysentery “foul intestinal complaints”.
