Wall rails allow initial medical care at
the intensive care bed, but they do
have some disadvantages:

supply lines
Media bridges
Although media bridges permit
better intensive care than wall rails,

Today, an increasing number

improvements in medicine and
medical technology. Optimal
medical care in any situation
provides the future for patients
and hospitals.
Special solution for
innerclinical patient
transport
Innerclinical patient transports are
a cost-intensive element in modern
intensive care units:
■ An increasing number of patients
must be moved from the ICU to
other wards in the hospital.
■ The physical condition of patients
is critical and requires numerous
appliances – particularly in the
infusion sector.
The HANAUPORT Mobile Infusion
Unit is a special ceiling service unit,
that enables
■ the main support head (removable
Slimline) to be removed with all
equipment from the ceiling
pendant system
■ the patient’s bed to be moved
with the removable Slimline and
equipment connected
■ the unit to be connected to a
standard power socket at the new
location, and to guarantee power
supply in case of longer waiting
times
■ infusion equipment to be prepared
fast and easily for moving the
patient

The gas box may be equipped with

Transport trolley
The transport trolley consists of
■ a stable aluminium frame with
4 antistatic castors (2 of them with
brakes)
■ a stable handle for pushing the
entire unit
■ docking unit for connecting the
trolley to the patient’s bed
■ lifting unit for height adjustment
■ adapter plate for the removable
Slimline
■ electrical safety transformer
■ power cable for power supply of the
I.V. unit at the destination
■ additional mounting devices for
ventilators or other accessories.
MAQUET offers to adapt the dimensions
of the transport trolley according
to various common types of beds.
Variable supply
The power supply for the equipment
is provided
■ from the ceiling during normal
use in the intensive care unit (the
removable Slimline is mounted
to the gas box of the ceiling
pendant)
■ by the battery of the I.V. pumps
during transport
■ by the trolley at the new location
(the power cable is plugged into a
wall socket and the portable batteries
will be charged).

Maximum ease of
operation and safety
■ Portable monitors can be placed
on an optional shelf on the

the electrical connectors between

when the unit is not attached to the
