HECTOR SCHOOL DISTRICT<br />
Hector School District is located in the foothills <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Ozark Mountains. We have the largest l<strong>and</strong> based school<br />
district in Pope County. There is beautiful mountainous<br />
scenery all throughout our district. We have an enrollment<br />
<strong>of</strong> approximately 600 students<br />
providing a good small town<br />
feel in our schools. We<br />
have a high school <strong>and</strong><br />
an elementary school <strong>and</strong><br />
our campus is connected<br />
making it convenient for<br />
families who have students in<br />
both schools. Hector Schools have teachers who have the<br />
best interest <strong>of</strong> the students at heart <strong>and</strong> a support staff<br />
that enhances those students’ experiences. We have an<br />
excellent academic program throughout our schools that<br />
have been recognized for their outst<strong>and</strong>ing performance<br />
over the past decade. Our athletic program has been<br />
extremely successful on the state wide level as well.<br />
Our community is extremely supportive <strong>of</strong> Hector<br />
Schools. We have a strong link with the patrons <strong>of</strong><br />
our community. Hector parents have unique personal<br />
access to our teachers, administrators, <strong>and</strong> entire school<br />
community. Our school board has been prominent<br />
in the success <strong>of</strong> our school representing the Hector<br />
community extremely well. Our academic <strong>and</strong> extracurricular<br />
evening events are generally well attended<br />
<strong>and</strong> met with much enthusiasm. Our local churches<br />
are very active in helping the school as well. Hector is<br />
a strong, small community that is a wonderful place to<br />
raise a family <strong>and</strong> live your life. If you are looking for a<br />

POTTSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT<br />
As we journey into the 2015-2016 school year, Pottsville<br />
School District continues to hold true <strong>and</strong> steady to the<br />
motto <strong>of</strong> “Big Enough to Challenge, Small Enough to<br />
Care.” With the ever-growing changes in technology<br />
facing our students, Pottsville aims high to meet these<br />
dem<strong>and</strong>s. From implementing the 1:1 Initiative (3 rd grade<br />
students through 12 th grade), to equipping classrooms<br />
with Smartboards, Ipads, <strong>and</strong> other forms <strong>of</strong> technology,<br />
Pottsville students are continuously working on projectbased<br />
learning activities <strong>and</strong> utilizing the tools to assist<br />
them with their future aspirations.<br />
We are also proud <strong>of</strong> the numerous awards <strong>and</strong> top<br />
honors our District has recently received in FBLA, Art,<br />
Beta Club, B<strong>and</strong>, Choir, Tennis, Quiz Bowl, EAST, Special<br />
Olympics, <strong>and</strong> Science-Arkansas<br />
State Teachers Association<br />

our Middle Grades <strong>and</strong><br />
Elementary have been<br />
recognized as high achieving<br />
schools by the Office <strong>of</strong><br />
Educational Performance (Middle School-ranked 9 th in<br />
Science for 2015; 2 nd in Literacy for 2014; <strong>and</strong> 7 th in Math<br />
for 2014 <strong>and</strong> Elementary-ranked 13 th in Literacy for 2014;<br />
