THAT IS FUNNY
My three-year-old daughter stuck out her hand and said, “Look at the fly I killed, Mommy.” Since she was
eating a juicy pickle at the time, I thrust her contaminated hands under the faucet and washed them with
antibacterial soap. After sitting her down to finish her pickle, I asked, with a touch of awe, “How did you
kill that fly all by yourself?” Between bites, she said, “I hit it with my pickle.”
When my three-year-old was told to pee in a cup at the doctor’s office, he unexpectedly got nervous.
With a shaking voice, he asked, “Do I have to drink it?”
A couple of tourists were dining at a fine restaurant in Paris. After waiting for an hour, the husband finally
was able to catch the waiter’s eye. “I want a bottle of your best wine,” he ordered.
“What year?” asked the waiter.

A brief History of underwear
The Loincloth
The earliest and most simple undergarment was the loincloth - a strip of material passed
between the legs and around the waist. King Tutankhamen was buried with 145 of them,
but the style didn’t go out with the Egyptians. Loincloths are still worn in Asia and Africa.
Braies
Men in the Middle Ages wore trouser-like undergarments called braies, which one
stepped into and tied around the waist and legs about mid-calf. To facilitate urination,
braies had a codpiece, a flap that buttoned or tied closed.
Bras
Bras were invented in 1913 when American socialite Mary Phelps-Jacob tied two handkerchiefs
together with ribbon. Maidenform introduced modern cup sizes in 1928.
Thongs
The thong made its first U.S. public appearance at the 1939 World’s Fair, when New York
Mayor Fiorello La Gaurdia required nude dancers to cover themselves. Thongs gained
popularity as swim-wear in Brazil in the 1970’s and are now fashionable in many parts of
the world.
