A few words about our project
Creating an English School Newspaper is an enjoyable, creative
and educational process!
This project aspires to involve many European learners in the
creation of a common Newspaper! Each issue will be thematic, so
that all participants can get an idea of what is going on in their
partners' side.
It is a fun-filled project that will help everyone realize the
emergence of English as an international language and help them
expand their horizons. Using English as the vehicle, this project
will provide useful insight on their peers' daily routine,
interests, customs and mentality, allowing everyone thus to
become more tolerant with diversity.

Welcome to our 4th issue!
Dear readers,
For our final summer issue we have prepared two quizzes for
you; the first quiz (by the Ls of 6b) aims at helping you choose
your future career(!) and the second quiz (by the Ls of 6a)
suggests the best holiday destination for you!
In the final part of our issue we have included some photos of
our last school week activities. Pupils, teachers and parents are

You should go on holidays to an island. You like water very much, swimming and fish! You love doing

We have a question for you: Have you ever visited an island? You are the best candidate for a holiday in
the mountains, but we’re sure you already know that! By the way, the Greek mountains are an excellent
destination for both summer and winter holidays!

to be with your family and you wish to have fun with your relatives. I hope you enjoy your holidays spending
more time with your grandparents!
Most Es: There is no place like home!
As it seems, you are very lazy and you like to sleep a lot. You don’t even have a favourite food and your
life may be a little bit miserable. We can also understand that you don’t have a lot of money and you can’t
take decisions easily.
So, we think that you shouldn’t spend your time and money somewhere out of the ordinary this year because
you will probably be very bored.
Safety and ... other rules
Rules for the summer holidays
1. Protect your skin by wearing sunscreen.
2. Be friendly to tourists.
3. Learn to swim so you can impress everyone.
4. Don’t rent deck chairs. They’re too expensive.
You should buy an ice cream instead.
5. Throw all your school books to forget all the bad memories.
Safety Rules
1. You mustn’t swim after eating.
2. You mustn’t stay under the sun for a long time without sunscreen.
3. You must always have with you a bottle of water.
4. You must always have with you a hat for the sun.
5. We mustn’t throw rubbish in the sea.

In summer everybody moves somewhere, spending sometimes long hours in a car, a bus or a plane. For those
moments of boredom we want to offer you some funny activities to pass the time.
How many actions are you able to spell?

WORD SEARCHES
Choose a level and have fun!! (on our last page you’ll find the key for every word search, just in
case you need them)
EASY MEDIUM DIFFICULT
The aim of this word game is to find and mark all the words hidden inside the box. The words may be placed
horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Depending on the level you choose, the words may also appear from right to
left or share letters among different words.

Another activity you can play with your friends or family is a BINGO.
You will need a copy for each player and a person who will say the different words included on the boards. When
an action that is on your board is said out loud, you will cross it out. If you cross out all the activities in a row, say
LINE! and if you get to cross all them out, say BINGO!
Another game you can play is acting out musical instruments for your friends to guess which one you are
playing. To choose the instrument you are going to play, use the following DICE:
