BUSINESS OVERVIEW<br />
I hope you all had a good vacation<br />
period and are now ready for the rest of<br />
this year challenges.<br />
August kept our momentum in<br />
Business as we are 91% vs our<br />
Management Plan, meaning we have<br />
to do one last push in the imminent<br />
months to reach it. As you can see it is<br />
really possible.<br />
In the first days of September an<br />
unexpected obstacle was put in our<br />
journey. The Note 7 Swap Program. For<br />
this we need to act as one team with<br />
the readiness and fastness that we are recognized for.<br />
I strongly believe that this challenge will make us even stronger and<br />
that Note 7 will be a big success in the next Christmas period as we<br />
proved that our consumers are always first.<br />
The first days of September also brought us the start of PT 2020<br />
Roadshow. I want to thank all the teams involved in this key project<br />
for <strong>SEP</strong> future.<br />
Finally, I would like to congratulate the DA Team for achieving Best<br />
Marketing Practice for AddWash in Europe.<br />
As you can see September will be key-month for all that is<br />
happening and for all that is coming, which will boost our brand:<br />
ModaLisboa, World Surf League and Samsung Chef Experience at<br />
Mercado Ribeira. This will only be possible with this years<br />
ModaLisboa moto: TOGETHER.<br />

IFA 2016<br />
IFA is the annual event and the main<br />
meeting place where the latest<br />
products and innovations in the heart<br />
of Europe‘s most important regional<br />
market are presented.<br />
This year Samsung launched<br />
Gear S3<br />
Inspired by the art of watchmaking, the Gear S3 combines timeless<br />
design with the latest mobile technology.<br />
Succeeding the Gear S3 announcement,<br />
has been largely positive towards the<br />
new smartwatch. Media have called out<br />
the size, strong 'rugged' classic design<br />
and impressive large watch face.<br />
Alongside a positive reaction to the<br />
more traditional design, coverage has<br />
also focused on the Gear S3<br />
functionality.

IFA 2016<br />
Samsung also updated Quantum Dot<br />
TVs, audio devices such as a Dolby<br />
Atmos Soundbar and home appliances<br />
including washing machines, and a<br />
built-in fridge freezer that contains a<br />
21in touchscreen.<br />
Samsung announced two new AddWash products – the AddWash<br />
Combo, which eliminates the need to purchase a separate dryer, and<br />
the AddWash Slim, which can fit into a smaller kitchen space without<br />
compromising on load size.<br />

The old TV brand spaces on Worten Oeiras and Box Alfragide were<br />
very old and degraded.<br />
In August, Samsung has produced a curved island which highlights<br />
the Samsung TV curved design and a rotating display to show the<br />
design of our Premium TV range.<br />

Retail team installed for the first time in Portugal the new<br />
concept of Samsung Mobile Shop in Shop.<br />
This is an upgraded version of our spaces with a premium design<br />
and a cleaner image for a top experience in store.<br />
The first store was Media Markt Alfragide and we are planning to<br />
extend to other 8 stores that includes clients like Worten, FNAC<br />
and Media Markt.

What are your main responsibilities?<br />
As the Head of SCM, PI and Logistic, my responsibilities are very<br />
diverse. From developing and implementing the process whether in<br />
the area of collaboration with our business partners in the market or<br />
our colleagues within <strong>SEP</strong> and Samsung as whole. Basically it is to<br />
drive the change in order to be prepared and meet new challenges<br />
that market throw at us frequently in the very agile business<br />
environment. My personal goal is to make our company a customer<br />
friendly by creating process to make ease of doing business for our<br />
esteemed partners.<br />
What was your most positive moment in <strong>SEP</strong>?<br />
The most positive moment in <strong>SEP</strong> for me<br />
was when I took charge of Logistic Dept. In<br />
2003 in very challenging time when we<br />
were developing a Local Distribution<br />
Center in Spain to share the logistics<br />
services with SESA. It was a hectic time but<br />
I learned a lot from my colleagues and<br />
mentors. I had to fly frequently to Spain. I<br />
used say that I did not know where I will<br />
spend my night (but for sure, in Iberia). As<br />
they say "no pain, no gain. No cross, no<br />
crown". I really learned a lot and develop<br />
such a keen interest and logistics that I<br />
went for M.Sc. In SCM from Cranfield<br />
University.

GREEN <strong>SEP</strong> – volunteering activity<br />
In the past 7 th of September, our 2016 Volunteering Activity took<br />
place at Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais and counted with the<br />
participation of 44 enthusiastic volunteers.<br />
Samsung joined this initiative on<br />
the recovery plan along Estrada da<br />
Serra, sponsored by Instituto de<br />
Conservação da Natureza e das<br />
Florestas, with the support of<br />
Associação Plantar Uma Árvore.<br />
The activity consisted in the<br />
eradication of invasive and<br />
competing vegetation (famous<br />
Acácias), fire prevention, protection<br />
of spontaneous regeneration, and<br />
maintenance of planted areas.
