Toll in Norway Norway pays for the construction costs of roads, bridges and tunnels by collecting tolls. Each new construction project usually results in at least one additional set of toll booths. As soon as the tolls have covered the construction costs, the toll booths are demolished. Therefore the number and location of toll booths in Norway is continually changing. Almost all the toll booths are fully automatic, which reduces the cost of collecting the toll.
