Eurovignettes 

One vignette for four countries 

Vehicles with a total weight of 12 tonnes or more require an electronic Eurovignette to use motorways in The 

Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark and Sweden. Coaches are exempt from these regulations. 

The vignette can be obtained at fuel stations and border points or directly through DKV. A vignette may have 

different periods of validity: a day, week, month or year.

Payment options for DKV customers 

1. Pay for the electronic vignette at the distribution point quickly, easily and cash-free using your DKV CARD. 

2. You may also order the Eurovignette via the DKV COCKPIT or directly via your DKV contact person . You 

receive a detailed overview by e-mail of all the vehicles with a vignette, showing the periods of validity. 

! Limit your costs: every vehicle in your fleet can be assigned a vignette for a suitable period – a day, a week, a 

month or a whole year. 

! You receive an overview: you will automatically be informed by e-mail before your electronic vignette is due to 

run out. 

! You do not need to carry any papers in case of controls, all is recorded electronically.

Belgium 

Fully electronic Satellite-based truck toll in Belgium 

In Belgium, in all three regions: Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels, a route-related toll applies to motor vehicles 

weighing more than 3.5 tonnes for the use of motorways and national roads. 

The toll charges depend on the road type (motorways or other important major roads), the Euro emission 

class and the permissible total vehicle weight. All vehicles subject to toll charges must be fitted with an onboard 

unit (Satellic OBU).

Liefkenshoektunnel (Antwerp) 

The Liefkenshoektunnel in Antwerp is subject to toll, payment can be done via the DKV CARD or the 

DKV BOX.

! As a transport company, you can enter your details and simply upload copies of the required documents (e.g. 

vehicle registration and Euro emission class certificates) on the DKV website.

! On request, we can also complete the submission for the refund of the value added tax charged in Wallonia.

Germany 

Always a smooth and efficient journey with the DKV CARD 

Since 1 October 2015, all trucks > 7.5 tonnes total weight have to pay a distance-based toll charge to use 

German motorways. The tariff is based on emission class, number of axles and length of toll route travelled. 

Invoicing options 

1. Use your Toll Collect on-board unit the number of kilometres travelled is recorderd fully 

electronically. You pay all the incurred charges afterwards through your DKV invoice. 

2. Use your login details from Toll Collect over the Internet and pay the truck toll afterwards 

quickly and easily though DKV. 

3. Use your DKV CARD when you pay at the toll terminal and save valuable time. 

Minimise uncertainty 

Due to a very sufficient credit commitment from DKV to Toll Collect, you will not experience 

any “limit problems” - irrespective of the number of vehicles or kilometres travelled

Austria 

The distance-based Go-Maut system with the GO-Box on-board-unit applies to trucks and coaches with a 

total weight of more than 3.5 tonnes on Austrian motorways and expressways. Vehicles weighing 3.5 tonnes 

or less require a motorway vignette. 

Payment options 

1. Pre-pay process 

The toll is collected fully electronically via your GO-Box when driving through the toll booths. You need to 

charge your GO-Box with credit in advance at one of the service stations. 

2. Post-pay process 

The fully electronic toll network records your actual distance travelled in kilometers. The toll charges are 

simply and conveniently billed later through your GO-Box. 

3. DKV CARD 

Pay for your motorway vignette and the special tolls for vehicles weighing 3.5 tonnes or less cash-free with 

your DKV CARD. 

! Save time: the GO-Box allows you to drive through the toll booth without stopping. 

! Save money with the post-pay process: DKV grants you a longer payment period and a definite liquidity

EETS 

DKV Euro Service is one of the initiators and one of the most firm supporter of EETS. We strongly believe 

that only a uniform European toll system which integrates all - currently individual - toll systems within 

Europe, will enable our customers to control costs and to improve efficiency and transparency. 

Although right now there still is no OBU that is fit for use all over Europe, there are a few interoperable 

OBUs in the market, like the DKV BOX. This box can already be used in Germany (Warnow Crossing and 

Herrentunnel), Belgium (Liefkenshoektunnel), France (TIS PL), Spain (VIA-T) and Portugal (ViaVerde). 

DKV Euro Service keeps expanding the interoperable toll box with the intention to add new countries in 

the short term.

Portugal 

Enjoy quick, easy and cost-effective truck toll invoicing in Portugal with the DKV BOX or the DKV CARD, 

which is accepted on all important main roads and transit routes. All vehicles are subject to toll charges. 

In Portugal, it is compatible with the VIA Verde toll motorways and the former state-operated SCUT 

motorways. 

In addition to toll charge payment, DKV also admits access to the discounts offered by the Portuguese

Spain 

The use of motorways in Spain (so-called "Autopistas") is subject to toll charges for all vehicles. 

Payment options for DKV customers 

1. With the DKV BOX, you can pass quickly through all toll booths and enjoy attractive discounts. The 

practical on-board unit is easy to install, ready for immediate use and especially suitable for frequent 

drivers. 

2. Low-mileage drivers, on the other hand, can be invoiced for their toll charges through their DKV CARD.

HGV Levy UK 

Drive through quickly and cost-effectively with the DKV Card 

A time-based charge (HGV Levy UK) for the use of all public roads has been in force in the United Kingdom 

since 1 April 2014. Foreign trucks with a permissible total weight of 12 t or more are subject to the levy. 

The amount of levy depends on the total vehicle weight, the axle configuration and the vehicle type**. 

The levy must be paid before the vehicle enters the UK. DKV customers can pay the charges with the 

DKV CARD. Without a valid vignette, you risk a GBP 300.00 fine or even the impounding of your vehicle. 

Billing options 

! Daily, weekly, monthly and annual electronic vignettes can be purchased using the DKV CARD. 

1. Directly through the online portal of the levy operator using the DKV CARD. 

2. Select and pay for the vignette on some ferries before arrival in the UK. 

3. Pay the levy at other points of sale (POS) outside the UK. A complete list of POS is available on our

Italy 

A distance-based toll is collected for the use of Italian motorways. DKV customers have the choice of two 

payment options: by Viacard or by Telepass. 

Payment by Viacard 

! For low-mileage drivers: pay the Italian toll using your Viacard quick and cash-free. 

Payment by Telepass 

! Ideal for frequent drivers: simply install the Telepass (on-board unit) on your windscreen. The toll charges 

are recorded automatically as you drive through the toll booths and invoiced later. 

Membership of CONSORZIO DKV EURO SERVICE 

! If you become a member of CONSORZIO DKV, an association of European transport companies, you can 

benefit from attractive annual rebates on the Italian toll. 

! Every journey you make on Italian motorways (using Viacard and Telepass) or through the Fréjus or Mont 

Blanc (Fréjus Card) tunnels counts towards your personal rebate calculation. From the first transaction, 

you receive the highest possible rebate, which is based on the total kilometres driven by all Consorzio 

members.

Norway, Denmark, Sweden 

AutoPASS 

Next to the Eurovignette, the AutoPASS OBU is mandatory for all commercially used vehicles (trucks and 

coaches) over 3.5 tonnes in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. For Denmark and Sweden this only accounts for 

bridges and ferries.

! An easier and more stress-free drive through Scandinavia is assured 

The order for an AutoPASS OBU can be placed using a PDF form available on the DKV website. 

Toll in Norway 

Norway pays for the construction costs of roads, bridges and tunnels by collecting tolls. Each new 

construction project usually results in at least one additional set of toll booths. As soon as the tolls have 

covered the construction costs, the toll booths are demolished. 

Therefore the number and location of toll booths in Norway is continually changing. Almost all the toll booths 

are fully automatic, which reduces the cost of collecting the toll. Look out for the lane signed AutoPASS when 

using the toll: 

Bridge-toll in Denmark and Sweden 

In Denmark and Sweden you must use the green lanes signed as BroBizz / AutoBizz / EasyGo. The toll, 

bridge and ferry fees (only for vehicles with an OBO) are automatically booked to your account. Discounts up 

to 50% are granted. 

Note: Eurovignettes will continue to be valid in Denmark and Sweden.

Switzerland 

Pay tolls cash-free and conveniently with the DKV CARD 

Switzerland charges a usage-based heavy goods vehicle toll, the LSVA, on all trucks and trailers with a total 

weight of more than 3.5 tonnes for using the country’s roads. 

The level of the LSVA tariff depends on: 

! The permissible total weight of the vehicle or vehicle combination 

! The distance travelled in kilometres 

! The emissions class according to the Euronorm standard 

Invoicing with the DKV CARD 

! Pay the LSVA for the Swiss road network simply and cash-free with your DKV CARD and the vehicle’s 

customs ID card 


! Save money by using the DKV CARD: you do not have to pay the Swiss customs fee for issuing a receipt 

for cash. 

! Save time: no need to get out of the vehicle when exiting the country

Russia 

The Platon toll in Russia applies across the whole country to trucks with a permissible total weight greater 

than twelve tonnes. Approximately 50,774 km of federal roads are subject to toll charges. The toll charge for 

the distance-based toll system is RUB 1.53 per kilometre (approx. EUR 0.02 per kilometre). 

Since May 24th 2016 DKV has extended its network in Russia. Next to the excisting routes in Russia 

(PLATON), it is now also possible to settle toll-routes to Estonia, Latvia and Belarus in the Pskov region. 

In addition to the Platon toll routes, DKV also covers four regional toll routes (Pskov) to Estonia, Latvia and 

Belarus:

Poland 

Fully electronic billing of the truck toll in Poland through DKV 

A distance-based electronic toll has applied in Poland to all vehicles since 1 July 2011. To pay the toll, trucks 

with a permissible total weight of more than 3.5 tonnes and coaches of any weight with more than nine seats 

(including the driver) require an on-board unit: the viaBOX. For vehicles below 3.5 tonnes the ViaBOX is 

optional. 

All the incurred toll fees are recorded fully automatically by the viaBOX and invoiced directly through DKV – 

either using the pre-pay or the post-pay process. 


As you drive through the toll booths, the toll is booked fully automatically through your viaBOX, which you 

must purchase and charge with credit in advance at one of the viaTOLL service stations by presenting your 

DKV CARD 


With the use of the viaBOX your actual distance traveled in kilometers is recorder electronically. The toll 

charges are simply and conveniently billed later through DKV – with this process you do not need to charge 

the box with credit. This method is particularly suitable for frequent drivers. 

You can register to be invoiced for the Polish toll and order your viaBOX 

directly with DKV.

Slovenia 

Cost-savings and flexibility with DKV 

A toll is collected for using the motorways, expressways and the Karawanken Tunnel in Slovenia. For vehicles 

over 3.5 tonnes permissible total weight, the toll is paid at toll booths– either by the pre-pay process using an 

on-board unit or with the DKV CARD. 

! ABC-OBU 

With an OBU, the toll is charged completely electronically when driving through the toll booths. There is no 

need to stop and load your OBU with credit at the toll booth so you can save time. At the moment, no new 

ABC OBUs are available from the toll operator DARS. 

! DARS Card 

DARS Cards can be purchased at the manned lanes at the toll booths, at the Toll User Centre in Ljubljana 

and used immediately. The DARS Card is available free of charge when it is linked to the DKV CARD directly. 

You benefit from attractive rebates with the pre-payment process – the rebate is taken into account as soon 

as the card is loaded with credit. 

! Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes 

For vehicles up to a permissible total weight of 3.5 tonnes, the Slovenian toll is collected using a vignette and 

is therefore time-related. Vignettes are available at all Petrol motorway fuel stations or DARS toll booths and 

can be purchased using the DKV CARD.

Slovakia 

The Slovakian MYTO SK toll system, is a distance-based toll that applies to all motor vehicles weighing more 

than 3.5 tonnes . All vehicles subject to toll charges must be fitted with a MYTO on-board unit (OBU). 

Pre-pay process 

The charges are booked fully electronically through your OBU when you drive through the toll booths. You 

pick up your OBU in advance at a service station using your DKV CARD. For this you must lodge a security 

deposit and charge the OBU with credit. 

You are able to load your OBU with credit using your DKV CARD, however you are unable to pay for the 

€ 50,00 deposit with your DKV CARD. 

VERY IMPORTANT! Upon departure you need to return the OBU, if you do not return the OBU before you 

leave Slovakia you will be fined with € 250,00.

Czech Republic 

The Czech MYTO CZ toll system to all motor vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes in. All vehicles subject 

to toll charges must be fitted with an on-board unit (Premid-Box). 

Register quickly and conveniently through DKV for Czech toll invoicing. You choose your preferred billing 

option and we order the on-board unit for you. 


The charges are booked fully electronically through your OBU when you drive through the toll booths. You 

pick up your OBU in advance at a service station using your DKV CARD. For this you must lodge a security 

deposit and charge the OBU with credit. 


Your actual distance traveled in kilometers is recorder electronically. The toll charges are billed through DKV 

at a later time, with this process you do not need to charge the box with credit. This method is particularly 

suitable for frequent drivers.

Hungary 

The new HU-GO toll system in Hungary 

The distance-based, electronic toll system HU-GO applies to all vehicles (except coaches) with a total weight 

of more than 3.5 tonnes on all motorways, expressways and selected regional roads in Hungary. The road 

network is 6.513 km long. 

! Relational ticket 

A possible mean of payment is the “relational ticket”. Pay for the ticket at the acceptance points cash-free 

with the DKV CARD. 

! Pre-pay process 

Another payment method is the pre-pay on board unit, the toll is collected electronically and deducted from 

your credit. The credit can be charged at acceptance points with the DKV CARD. 

! Post-pay process 

In the future, payment using the post-pay process will also be offered. There will also be a GPS-supported 

device, which the customer will have to buy. 

! Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes 

Coaches and vehicles weighing 3.5 tonnes or less still need to use the existing e-vignette, payment 

continues as usual, simple and cash-free with your DKV CARD.

Belarus 

Completely electronic billing of the truck toll in Belarus through DKV 

A distance-based electronic toll has applied in Belarus to all vehicles since 1 July 2013. Trucks and coaches 

with a total weight of more than 3.5 tonnes require an on-board unit for the toll. The operator is BelToll and the 

road network subject to toll charges has a total length of 1.513 km. 

A ticket must be bought at a BelToll point of sale (POS) or online via DKV. The following documents need to 

be presented at the POS: 

! Copy of the vehicle registration certificate(s) 

! Power of attorney (original) – this needs to be granted to the driver by the legally authorised representative 

to allow the driver to pick up the OBUs and sign the vehicle list) 

! The driver needs to be able to show his or her ID / passport

Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania 

Easy, convenient and cash-free toll Payment with the DKV CARD 

Bulgaria 

The truck toll in Bulgaria is collected by vignette and is therefore time-related. All trucks and cars on the 

Bulgarian national road network are subject to toll charges. 

They can be purchased at fuel stations in Bulgaria operated by OMV and Petrol, and at the toll booth at the 

Danube Bridge 2 (“New Europe”) bridge in Widin. 

Pay for the electronic vignette in Bulgaria quickly, easily and cash-free using your DKV CARD. 

Latvia 

The motorway toll applies to all vehicles with a total weight of more than 3.5 tonnes for the use of any 

motorway. The present toll network consists of 3,500 km of roads subject to toll. 

There are currently 93 DKV acceptance points for the toll in Latvia. Vignettes can be purchased using the 

DKV CARD at 34 Lukoil fuels stations in addition to 59 operated by Statoil. 

Lithuania 

A road use fee applies to trucks and coaches on the transit routes through Lithuania (A1 to A18). It is 

collected by vignette and is therefore time-based. 

Vignettes can be purchased at all border crossings and at any Statoil fuel station in Lithuania. 

Enjoy the advantage of quicker border crossings on your way to Belarus by paying your toll fees with the DKV 

CARD at UAB Vilnius. 

Romania 

Since 1 October 2010 all vehicles must have an electronic vignette when driving on the national road network 

in Romania. The price of a vignette is based on the length of the stay. 

Vignettes can be purchased at any MOL / DKV station. The purchase receipt acts as proof and must be kept 

to show in case of e.g. controls. Vehicles are checked with the use of a toll database and video cameras.
