Libro Agustino books in libraries of top institutions
BOOKS published by the
University of San Agustin
Coordinating Center for Research
and Publications (UCRP), through
its publishing label Libro
Agustino, have been acquired by
libraries of leading institutions in
the country and abroad.
Internationally, UCRPpublished
books are in the
libraries of Stanford University,
Cornell University, Yale
University, University of
California-Berkeley, University of
Michigan, Pennsylvania State
University, San Jose State
University (California, USA),
International Islamic University
(Malaysia), Institute of Southeast
Asian Studies (Singapore), and
Vietnam Academy of Social
THE NATIONAL Book
Development Board (NBDB) has
recently approved the registration
of the USA Coordinating Center
for Research and Publications
(UCRP) as Book Publisher,
through Certificate of
Registration No. 1254.
NBDB is the government
agency mandated to develop and
support the Philippine book
publishing industry. It was
created by R.A. 8047 or the
Book Publishing Industry
Development Act in 1995. Its
major areas of concern include
the following: enhancing the
competitiveness of the Book
Industry, developing and
supporting the creative sector,
enhancing textbook quality
procurement, enhancing local
Sciences. They are also listed in the
holdings of the National Library of
Australia, Library of Congress
(USA), San Jose Public Library
(California, USA) and Jacksonville
Public Library (USA).
In the Philippines, UCRPpublished
books are listed in the
internet-accessible catalogues of the
libraries of the following
institutions: Ateneo de Manila
University, University of the
Philippines–Diliman, University of
the Philippines–Baguio, University
of the Philippines–Los Banos, De
La Salle University–Manila, De La
Salle University–Dasmarinas, De La
Salle–College of Saint Benilde,
University of Santo Tomas,
University of San Carlos–Cebu,
Centro Escolar University, Holy
UCRP now registered with NBDB
and international markets for
Philippine books, and
strengthening the NBDB.
UCRP’s registration is in
accordance with the provisions
of R.A. 8047. As a registered
book publisher, UCRP will be
able to enjoy the following,
among others: tax- and duty-free
importation of books, fiscal and
non-fiscal incentives of the Board
of Investments, availment of free
symposia and seminars on book
development and related
activities, display and promotion
of books in international and
local book fairs, access to
industry information through
technical studies and
publications, as well as
participation in NBDB programs
like the Integrated Book
Angel University (Pampanga),
Angeles University Foundation
(Pampanga), Assumption College–
Makati, and Miriam College.
Other institutions in the
Philippines that have acquired
UCRP publications are the
National Library of the Philippines,
the Electronic Library of the
Philippines, and the National Book
Development Board.
Libro Agustino titles are also
carried by international online
booksellers such as Mary Martin,
Amazon, Book Finder, Good
Reads, Open Library, Depot,
among others.
Institutions whose library
catalogues are not accessible
online are not included in the

The registration of UCRP is
valid within the period 14 April
2010 to 30 April 2013. (UCRP)
