Create on the left hand side<br />

Step 2: Once your doc is<br />

uploaded double or right click on<br />

it open<strong>in</strong>g up the doc on Google<br />

• Step 3: Click on the Share symbol at the top right.<br />

• Step 4: Change the privacy sett<strong>in</strong>gs to “Anyone<br />

With The L<strong>in</strong>k” or “Public on the Web” and click<br />

Save. With the “Anyone With The L<strong>in</strong>k” sett<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

anyone who scans your <strong>QR</strong> Code will be<br />

able to go to the doc.<br />

• Go to https://maps.google.com/<br />

• Enter the dest<strong>in</strong>ation. Make sure the map is<br />

displayed as you would like it to appear when<br />

somebody scans the <strong>QR</strong> code.<br />

• Click on the cha<strong>in</strong> button.<br />

• Copy the short URLof your dest<strong>in</strong>ation.<br />

• Go to the <strong>QR</strong> code generator and enter your<br />

URL. Click on Generate Dynamic.


To add a picture<br />

• A picture has too much data for a <strong>QR</strong> code. So…<br />

1. Upload the picture to a cloud service e.g<br />

flickr.com, dropbox.com, facebook.com or Google<br />

Drive<br />

2. Get the URL l<strong>in</strong>k of that picture.<br />

flickr.com:click on the share-icon on the far right<br />

hand side of the uploaded picture.<br />

dropbox: scroll down to the picture & f<strong>in</strong>d thel<strong>in</strong>k<br />

icon on the far right hand side.<br />

facebook: hover over the picture. Choose to save<br />

the l<strong>in</strong>k from the drop-down menu<br />

Dynamic or Static <strong>QR</strong> Codes?<br />

Static codes: CANNOT be changed<br />

Good for a fixed address, an SMS, a v-card or an<br />

email on smartphones, or a phone number.<br />

• HOW TO ?<br />

• Go to http://qrcode.kaywa.com<br />

• Input your address or content <strong>in</strong>formation<br />

and move the slider button over to “Static”:<br />

• Click on the “Generate Static” button, and there<br />

is your <strong>QR</strong> Code!

TO DOWNLOAD a <strong>QR</strong> code?<br />

• Hover your mouse over the code that you just<br />

generated,<br />

• right-click, and choose “Save image as…” to<br />

• Do not put a lot of data<br />

complicated <strong>QR</strong> code= difficulty <strong>in</strong> decod<strong>in</strong>g<br />
