Florida Voting Registration Rolls
CONVICTED: 2012
Ineligible Voting
Josef Sever was charged and convicted of illegal voting. Sever was a
Canadian citizen who nonetheless cast a ballot in two presidential
elections. He also lied about his citizenship status to obtain a firearm.
He was convicted and sentenced to 5 months in prison and almost
certain deportation to Canada.
NBC2 cross-checks voter rolls and juror lists and finds many who
claim to be ineligible for jury duty because they are not US citizens
are registered to vote, and some who are interviewed admit that they
have voted (incl. Hinako Dennett) while others claim that they never
registered to vote, but that somebody must have registered in their
names.
